Not today

Even though James isn't someone I should be trusting at this point in time. He was right on me taking a DNA test to prove who was the father of my child was.

It just so happens he made sure that the test was done by his own doctor. Like I was going to tamper with the damn test if my doctor did it. Once and for all when the test is done I can eliminate one crazy brother off my list.

"What the hell is taking so long?" As I look at the nurse. I literally been here for almost two hours and it's taking them so long to even take blood.

"Sorry about that miss. But just give us a few more minutes to get situated".

"How long does it take to get the results back?" As I asked.

"Depends. Sometimes right away or it could take weeks" as she smiled.

"Okay, thank you" as she exited the room. I don't know who I would want to be the father. I mean they're both crazy. So it's a lose, lose situation.

"Oh good... You're here" as Ryan walked in and closed the door.

"Why are you here?. And how did you even know I would be here?".

"I don't know if I mentioned that since it's a 50% chance that I could be the father of that unborn baby... That your whereabouts is my business".

"Wow!. Just like your brother" as I dryly said.

"Don't want to talk about him. I'm here to discuss us. Cause once those results come in and it reveal I'm the father then we can try and make it work" as he took a seat next to me.

He can't be serious right now. "Ryan I don't want to have anything with you. And I'm hoping this child isn't yours!. You're too crazy for me. Like who sits there and gets women pregnant for the hell of it".

"Listen what my brother said was a lie okay. I really do like you Cassie and I've always have. From the first time I bumped into you at that Christmas party".

"I don't have time for this today. And I refuse to be bothered by it" as I rolled my eyes I frustration.

"Cassie let me break some light to you. I don't know what nonsense my brother has been feeding you. But he's not going to leave his wife for you. If this child is his, he'll sell you a story on how he'll be there for it but in reality he won't be. And who gets hurt here?. Both of you do".

"Goodbye Ryan" as I fanned him away.

"Actually I hope this baby is mine so I can show you how good of a father I would be" as he stormed out.

After my test was done, I walked out of that office never to look back. Now it's up to them two to give their DNA so they can get the process started.

I looked at my phone and seen James had called me. See dealing with Ryan I didn't even feel my phone.

"Hello?".

"Why didn't you answer when I called you before?".

"I was busy!. What do you want?". Damn these pregnancy hormones.

"I wanted to know if you wanted to come over?".

"Not to your house. That's over stepping territory. But you can meet me at my house" as I suggested.

"Okay I'll be there in 15" as he hung up. I sighed and started on my way home.

| 10 mins later|

"I've been waiting here for the longest. When you said to meet your here I figured you would actually be here" as he gave an attitude.

"Listen I've dealt with enough today" as I warned him.

"Ryan harassing you?" As he asked.

"How did you guess?" As I sarcastically said.

"I'll set him straight!. He thinks he's slick. He's going to smooth talk his way to you again. And I hope you didn't fall for it".

"I'm too tired and annoyed to even talk to him so I wasn't falling for anything".

"How are you?" As he asked.

"I've been better. Today is not my day and it won't be my day until those damn results come in. And it could either go bad or good".

"Well hopefully I'm the good that it goes for" as he hugged me.

"Or it could go bad and link me to Ryan for rest of my life".

"Hopefully that won't happen. You should get off your feet and rest" as he pointed out.

"James is hat you being nice to me!. End of the world is coming" as I laughed.

"I'm a nice guy!. You just think I'm a horrible person. I mean I'm not perfect by any means but who is".

"I guess you're right". I don't know if I should even believe him. Or should I take this with a grain of salt.

"Where's your wife?" As I turned to him.

"I told you she's none of your concern. To you she doesn't exist" as his mood quickly changed.

"She's none of my concern but right now I could be pregnant with your kid. She will eventually find out and then what?".

"Cassie she won't find out unless your big mouth says something to the wrong person. And I hope that doesn't happen, cause then I'll have to handle you personally".

"Are you threatening me?" As I stood there stunned.

"I wouldn't say that was a threat but more of a promise" as he rubbed his chin repeatedly.

"I'm done with you and Ryan!. Get out and leave me alone. I don't want to hear from either of you until those results come in!" As I pointed to the door so he can get the message.

"I'll just say it's pregnancy hormones. But I'll call you later okay" as he came close to me and placed a small kiss on my cheek. I pulled away and looked at him still pointing to the door.

After he left I made sure to lock my doors so I wouldn't get anymore surprise visits. Today has been one of most stressful days.
