Here we go again

"Thank you for breakfast, Ryan" as I put a piece of my food in my mouth. The hangover we both have is crazy. Note to self no more wine.

"You're Welcome. I serve to please" as he smiled.

"How come your single?. A man like yourself I would think woman would be lining up to date you".

"I'm just very picky when it comes to woman. I don't want a woman because she's strikingly beautiful. I want personality, and brains too".

"You'll end up having to settle. You won't get all those things in one girl".

"I'm not settling... And plus I already found the girl I wanted who has all the traits I want" as he stared at me.

Just when I opened my mouth to respond back my phone started buzzing. I took it out and answered.

"Hello?".

"Cassie?. Where are you?". Wonderful it's Mister Asshole himself.

"I'm at a friends house" as I lied and hated myself only because looking at Ryan as I say that hurt him.

"Well I need to talk to you... Meet me at the usual spot".

"And what if I don't want too?". He just has to ruin a perfectly good morning.

"You'll be fired, right here on this phone. And I'm not kidding" as he said with a stern voice.

"Fine, I'll see you in 30" as I sighed.

"That's my girl" as he hung up.

I didn't want to look at Ryan. Guilt was eating me alive.

"My brother?" As he looked hurt to ask.

"Yeah, he wants to talk" as I rolled my eyes in frustration.

"So last night I guess meant nothing?".

"It was the wine that influenced what we did. Any other time that wouldn't had happened" as I got up. "Ryan you're a sweet guy but be with someone who isn't has complicated as me. Thanks for everything" as I exited his place.

Yes!. I know I feel like shit for even saying that to him. James better come up with a crazy good apology.

Once I reached the park I see him sitting on the bench holding two cups of Starbucks.

"So... What do you need to talk to me about?".

"First off, this is yours since I know you love the pumpkin spice lattes from Starbucks" as he handed me the medium sized cup.

"Thank you!. I definitely needed this" as I took a small sip.

"I called you out here because I wanted to say I'm sorry for how I acted the other time I saw you. My brother Ryan has always been trying to take what's mine and I'm not letting him win this time".

"I don't know if I can believe that" as I gave him a look.

"He has from day one... He's my younger brother so I always had to share things with him. Then when we started getting older and woman were involved he always tried to take them away from me".

"Poor baby!. But you have a wife and he didn't take her away from you".

"She wasn't his type apparently. And why are you sticking up for him?!".
