Chapter 11

Shay's POV

I hear a noise and turn my head and see Owen riding his motorcycle behind us.
Grey jumps out of his seat and Zach looks out the doors too.

"Owen!" They yell and he speeds up to the left, probably to talk to Claire.
"We got to get in doors!" I hear him yell  and look through the little window and see Claire dialing Lowery's number.
"Lowery we're heading your way. Call in a chopper."

We get to what I recognize is the lab, Claire tells us to hurry and get inside and we do as we're told.
"The evacuated the lab." Claire says as she steps into the center of the room.
Suddenly I hear two men rush by, with a suitcase. One puts some sort of test tubes into the suitcase that's meant to keep stuff cold and they rush to get out of the room.
"What do you think you're doing?" Claire says with an angry and confused look on her face.
"I'm afraid that's above your pay grade." says one of them and the two rush off.
I glance down and see a backpack that looks as if someone was making an emergency kit out if it. Without I second thought I grab the backpack and hoist it over my soldier.

I glance back up and see Hoskins standing before everyone. He must have been talking but I was to distracted by the backpack and protecting the boys.
Suddenly I feel a tap on my shoulder.
"That's not a real dinosaur." Gray says pointing to a monitor.
"No it ain't kid." Lowery speaks up
"But somebody's got to make sure this company's got a future."

Zach's POV

I am beyond mad but I can't imagine how Aunt Claire must mine feeling. Hoskins keeps going on about the dinosaur Gray pointed to but my mind wandered somewhere else, but mine wasn't the only one. Shay was walking around a table covered in a while bunch of stuff, confused I started to walk over to her, but suddenly a Raptor leapt through the glass.

The raptor seemed distracted with Hoskins so I slowly grabbed Gray and started backing us up towards Owen.
"Easy, easy, easy boy." Hoskins raised his arm out in an attempt to tame the raptor but the raptors only obeyed an alpha. Hoskins was no alpha.
Out if nowhere the raptor chomped down on his hand, leaving Hoskins screaming out in pain.

Owen and Claire yell at Gray and I to hurry so we can get out before we become Raptor chow.
"Shay!" I yell trying to get her attention as she stands there shocked at what had just happened.
I quickly run over to her and grab her hand but she reaches out for something and tucks it into her backpack.

Now we're all running for our lives through the main room with the holograms.
I hear glass shatter behind me and know the raptor will be here any second. Shay lets go of my hand and slams it down on one of the control panels and it illuminates a holographic image of a dinosaur, luckily distracting the raptor.

Shay's POV

We make it through the exit and run down the steps, when a raptor jumps out from the side.
I put Gray between Zach and I, when another raptor jumps out from the side opposite the other raptor.
The two have us surrounded, suddenly Owen steps towards one.
"So that's how it's going to be." He says and slowly lifts his hand. He grabs the camera that was put on the raptors by Hoskins and yanks it off to show he's on their side.
The tension is interrupted by the footsteps of something large. Suddenly, it's head peers around the corner, the Indominus Rex.

SORRY I KNOW THIS WAS A SHORT CHAPTER BUT I HAVE SCHOOL AND IM WORKING IN A SEQUEL FOR THIS AS WELL AS OTHER BOOKS SO I'LL TRY TO UPDATE WHEN I CAN
