Friends make life a lot more fun

I cannot even imagine where I would be today were it not for that handful of friends who have given me a heart full of joy. Let's face it, friends make life a lot more fun.
Charles R. Swindoll

Phil woke up to a excited Dan on his stomach and a phone in front of his face.

"Philphilphil look!" Dan shouted, still sat on Phil, and moving up and down on top of him. That was not helping his concentration.

"At what?" He groaned, not the happiest at being woken up this early in the morning.

Actually, looking at the clock, not that early after all, and not even in the morning. It was half noon, and Phil hadn't even gotten out of bed. Maybe he should be grateful for Dan waking him up.

"What do you think? This you idiot!" Dan shouted, shoving the phone almost up Phil's nose. Phil picked it carefully out of Dan's grasp, and groaned. No way. He remembered what happened last time.

Dan (and Phil, make him read this as well, AND MAKE HIM COME),

I know it's short notice, but it's my half-birthday, and to celebrate this fantastic milestone in my existence, I am hosting a party! My place, 7pm tonight, there'll be alcohol (of course), and basically as many of our friends as I can get over, I've sent invites to Tyler, Zoe, Louise, PJ...

BE THERE! BOTH OF YOU!!

Chris

"No way." Phil said, knowing full well that if Dan wanted him to go, he would, because he couldn't resist his kicked-puppy look.

"Phil please! It'll be no fun if you don't go! I'll have to get back in the middle of the night, and you know I hate the dark!"

"You could stay at Chris'." He grumbled, his will already crumbling.

"But I want you to come! Please Phil? It won't be the same without you." Dan pleaded, and Phil knew that he had already lost.

"Fine. But I won't enjoy it at all." Phil sighed, exasperated at how easily Dan could get Phil to do what he wanted him to.

"Yes! Thank you Phil! You're the best best friend ever!" Dan squealed, giving Phil a massive hug. Phil reluctantly pushed him off, making it seem like he didn't want a hug, when in reality he wanted so much more.

"I'm going to get dressed. You owe me." He grunted, already halfway to the bathroom. Just before he closed the bathroom door, Phil heard Dan shout something after him, something he knew was not true in the slightest.

"You won't regret it!"

*timey-wimey skip to 8pm (an hour into the party)* Also, I would like to mention that, for the purposes of this story, Chris' place is a five minute walk from Dan and Phil's. Roll with it.

Phil was not drunk. Not at all.

Just a little tipsy.

Or a lot.

Either way, he was having a lot more fun at this party than he normally would be, if he were completely sober. So when Tyler decided to invite them all over for a game of Truth or Dare, the protests of his remaining logical side were drowned out by his drunken enthusiasm.

Once they were all sat in a circle, giggling helplessly at nothing, with a empty beer bottle between them, Tyler took the first spin. It landed on Louise, who chose dare, and who was dared to try and darken her dip-dyed hair by soaking the ends in red wine, which ended in an empty wine bottle and a soaked and grumpy Louise.

Louise spun the bottle, which landed on PJ, who chose truth, and confessed how he sometimes drank tea cold, if he had forgotten about having it.

The game continued on like this for quite some time, although none of them were quite sure how long, due to the pre-mentioned fact of them all being extremely drunk.

When Zoe fell asleep in Louise's lap, they decided that the game should probably finish now, but not before Chris got one last dare. The bottle spun and spun, finally landing on Dan. Thank god. At least Phil wouldn't have to deal with the undoubtedly worst truth or dare that had been undertaken all night.

Dan chose dare.

"Dan, I dare you to.... make out with Phil."

"Okay." Dan said, turning towards Phil, who gulped, unsure whether to be pleased he would finally get to kiss him, or upset that it was a dare, and a drunken one at that. His drunken mind chose excited.

But then Dan's lips were on his, and he forgot everything else. They were so soft, and moving slowly against his, and Dan's hands were tangled in Phil's hair, and Phil's hands were pressing him closer, and Dan was in Phil's lap, straddling his hips. It was a heated kiss, full of lust, and Dan pushed Phil backwards onto the carpet, their lips never leaving each other's. Phil moved his hands up under Dan's shirt, eliciting a moan from him. Phil could feel Dan's tongue lick his bottom lip, and he opened his mouth, letting Dan explore inside with his tongue. Their tongues fought for dominance, dancing together.

"Oi! Get a room!" They heard Tyler shout, and it took a great deal of self control for either of them to pull away from the other.

"Gladly." Dan said, and without further ado, pulled Phil up with him, and ran out the door, both giggling like two year olds.

It was raining outside, but neither of them cared because they had the warmth of the other near them, and they were exactly where they wanted to be.

It felt like a nanosecond and a millennia to get back to their flat, open the door and fall through it, Dan dragging Phil towards his bedroom, and collapsing back onto the bed, lips hungrily attacking each other's.

It was going to be a long, hot night.
