Chapter 8

"So, remind me, why are you here again?.."
I asked staring into his eyes. They were a beautiful light blue and the really complimented him. This stranger was gorgeous. Oh, what am I saying? I can't think like this when I'm in the middle of something this serious. But in all honesty, he was.. Stunning. But all I know about him is indefinite... I kind of want to know more...
He laughed.
"I told you already, the person who hacked my computer lives around here. But come to think of it, I don't know why I'm telling a complete stranger this..."
"We don't necessarily have to be strangers..."
I trailed off. What am I thinking?! I barely know this guy and here I go flaunting my feelings at him. God, he probably feels to awkward right now... He gave me a questioned look.
"What?..."
"Oh... Umm.. Nothing.."
He chuckled at himself.
"No I honestly didn't hear you, what did you say?"
Ugh, his smile was complete perfection and that accent... Okay, y/n, breathe...
I thought quickly to replace what I said. C'mon, think...
"I just said that.. Uh.. What was the umm.. Date. You know, when it happened?.."
I awkwardly put my hands in my pockets and played with my feet.
"Oh, it uh, happened just the other day, two days ago."
I could feel my heart racing and my face heating up, knowing I was guilty. I stood there, even more awkwardly, than before.
"Oh."
They exchanged glances and then stared intently at me. He got really close to my face before saying,
"Y/N, do.. You know something?..."
I shook my head furiously.
"N-no! It's just well... No..."
"Please, y/n, this is important and we need you to tell us something if there's something you're not telling us."
"Will... Will there be consequences?... Like, jail or something?..."
"I don't know... Possibly..."
"Well- nevermind..."
He grabbed my hand and held it in both of his. Our eyes connected, and as predicted, I was lost in his.
"Please, y/n, tell us..."
"I think-"
"I think it was my friend, Joey..."
