Chapter 9

"You think?..."
I nodded my head.
"So there's a possibility?..."
I hesitated before nodding again. Is he okay? Well, considering his computer was just hacked, probably not... I'm such and idjit that sometimes it's hurts...
"Well at least we finally have a lead..."
He began. I gave am awkward look towards the ground but they didn't notice.
"Not.. Exactly..."
They both looked at me. I felt my feet grow cold and my face heat up as I felt the strong gaze being held. I wasn't making eye contact but I could still feel it burning through.
"What do you mean 'not exactly'?"
"Well..."
I thought about bringing up the truth but I knew I couldn't face it. Deep down I know that I should tell the the truth but, I can't. I just can't. It'll be too painful to face.
"My friend, Joey, she said she'd be out for a while..."
"Then we'll wait"
"She said that three days ago..."
I finished while making eye contact. He looked at me puzzled.
"Three... Three days ago?"
I nodded. He let out a heavy sigh and pinched the bridge of his nose. He paced back and forth.
"Well, so much for a lead..."
There was an awkward silence until he began,
"Did she at least tell you where she went?"
I looked him in the eyes and slowly shifting my gaze to the floor, hinting that I didn't know.
"This is just peachy..."
He said emphasizing 'peachy'.
I could feel my hands starting to sweat from the anxiety I'm currently carrying with me. Not to mention the burden that I just hacked some guys computer. I only meant for it to be new knowledge, not for it to end up like this. I had to admit though, it's impossible looking him in the eyes and not feeling the slightest bit guilty. I wish I could tell the truth but there's no other option than to do what I am now. If I had a plan b I would use it, but unfortunately, I don't, and I am left to carry the burden of not just guilt, but of having this moment to be left with me forever...

Hai again, sorry I know it's not that long of a chapter I'll try and do better next time :c but I can never seem to find the time to write and it sucks anus. I'm currently writing like how many other books? And I'm also writing on one that is published yet... It's a Markiplier fanfic and that's all I'll say for now xD I can't decide whether to publish it yet or not¿? I'm also in a collab with mah friend Joeyplier xD I'm doING WAY TO MANY THINGS AT ONCE! But I'm doing the best I can, I assure you. Again, sorry for the short update I just wanted to get it to you already but I was sidetracked yesterday and stuff.
