ROSE'S POV
I already know what I'm going to do as I stay in the shadows, my hood shielding my light hair from the game makers eyes. There are trees, bows, knives, weights... I spot the spears behind an older looking man and slip under their tablecloth at the empty end of the table. As they speak above me I creep around their feet stealthily. For a proper ambush I'd need a weapon. As a shoe kicks out with loud laughter in front of my nose I stop. My heart beats and I hope the Capitol men can't hear it. I creep past to the rack of spears, reaching my arm out and skipping the shorter spears into my other hand one by one. I retrace my path and peek over the table to see the game makers looking around, a few standing up. I have to go now. I rush to the climbing net, unnoticed, rolling behind a pillar. If I go fast, they won't see me behind the column. I almost silently climb up with ease, sniffing in the smell of their half eaten meal. Glaring down I crawl into the stiff middle net over there table. "Maybe we're wrong and we're done." The loud laugher says with his gruff voice. I bite my lip.
Now.
I bring my arm back, watching as the spear lands in their turkey. They look up just as I drop another spear, catching in a big-haired mans hairdo. Stifling a laugh to act serious, I slip through a hole in the net, landing on my feet, I stand up to my full height, bringing back my arm and releasing my final spear, which falls into one of the targets behind the game makers chest with perfect arch. I smirk and fake a curtsy as the game makers stare in surprise. Before exiting I grab an apple, shining it on my shirt until I can see my reflection in the blood-red fruit.
