There is something in the air. Something has changed as she walks in the echoing silence of the parking lot with lightness that she had never felt before. There's a skip on her steps. A bounce on her soles. A certain sway on her hips as if she's walking with a beat of festive drums. She feels giddy and her cheeks are hurting with the mindless smiling. Surely, she looks stupidly...happy.

Dal-rae scolds her features before stepping into the building, worrying that she might flash some of the employees with her silly grin. The horrors of them looking at her with bewilderment. She wouldn't want them to think that their boss is losing her screws.

However, the moment she steps inside, everyone's eyes are upon her. All the more with how she mistakenly greets back with a chirpy lilt of her tone. She almost slam her palm on her head as a pandemonium of greetings chirp back, each of the employee bows with beaming grace. No one is even avoiding her gaze.

Riding the elevator has never been so painfully awkward. She should have arrived extra early to avoid such madness. She's not a devil of a boss. No. She had been just quite that everyone assumes she doesn't want to be talked to, unless important. However, now, she is an open book and everyone has this gigantic lens to read her word for word.

"It's a spectacular day, isn't it?" Ms. Seo walks beside her with suspiciously sweet smile.

"What's with you?" Dal-rae's brows cross. "What's with everyone?" She looks around making a point to nod to a gentle looking senior employee before stopping right in front of her office.

Ms. Seo just shrugs as she stops and opens the double doors.

She freezes.

Her brain takes a minute to register what she's seeing.

Flowers. Lots of flowers. There are so many of them that the room almost looks like a blooming spring garden. And no, they are not in gigantic congratulatory wreathes but on lovely wrapped bouquets each one as elaborate and as grand as the last. It's like someone or some people are having bets of who can give the biggest and the most beautiful.

"They came so early today. The parade of delivery men holding them was spectacular. Everyone was in awe." Ms. Seo giggles.

Before she can say a word, realization shrinks. She quickly dashes forward and shuts the door in a speed of light, hiding, albeit it's already too late.

"Oh god! Why are they like this?" Dal-rae makes a strangled voice as she hides her face on her hands. No wonder everyone was looking at her that way. It's as if, the everlasting puzzle had come into a completion. That finally, their boss is no longer a grumpy shit with all these extravagant courting.
