"You don't need to be afraid. Unravel for us, love."

- Memory Journal: The Last, page 15 –

"Why did you even allow that?"

"Allow what?" Namjoon nonchalantly replies to the second eldest who's been pacing around the practice room.

There's no one else inside but them. The staffs and other dancers had left. The four of them remains to polish their moves.

"They had been great, hyung. They had memorized everything." Hoseok seconded. "Why not let them do what they want. They deserve it."

"You know that three of them can be. They can send her to-"

"Soul burn?" Jin cuts off Yoongi. "Just let it be."

"And you too, Jin hyung" Yoongi admonishes the eldest. His voice is soft even with the thick anxiety and frustration coating it. "The other night you were lecturing Namjoon for what he did but now?"

"Relax hyung." Namjoon soothingly says. "I know it will turn out okay. Right Hobi-ah?"

"If only I know." Hoseok shrugs. "But I know the three of them will take good care of her."

"Plus, Jungkook is with them."

"Really? Our Maknae?" Yoongi deflates a little. His shoulders sagging. He doesn't even know why he is reacting this way.

"I trust him not to do silly things. He knows too well what it will lead to." Jin nods, fully convinced of Jungkook's good behavior. "They will be well."

"Should I contact him?" Yoongi, still unconvinced asks, already scrolling through his contacts.

"No." Jin gently smiles, immediately taking the phone out of Yoongi's hands. "Let them have this date.".

"Then, we can have our own soon." Namjoon's dreamy voice makes them sigh. If only they didn't lose on the "rock, paper, scissor" hours ago.

"Come on. One more practice." Hoseok claps his hands. He needs this practice to keep his mind from Dal-rae or else, he would walk away and stalk the three.

Jungkook was far from being studious, but he observed her like a hawk to its prey, noting every lift of her brow or every bite of her lips. The confident tilt of her chin or the shy flutter of her gaze.

He loves it when the boss in her reduces with their presence.

How fascinating!

He knew too well that underneath the calm facade was a maelstrom of emotions. How many times had he caught her stutter? Or her cheeks heating up? Not to mention the obvious quiver on her skin?
