Tejasswi stood in front of the mirror, frowning as she struggled to reach the zip of her dress. She stretched her hand awkwardly behind her back, trying to pull it up, but it was impossible. Huffing in frustration, she turned slightly, catching Karan's reflection in the mirror.

He was fixing the cuffs of his shirt, looking far too handsome in a black suit that fit him perfectly. His eyes lifted, meeting hers through the glass. A slow smile curved on his lips as he saw her struggle.

"Agar madad chahiye toh keh do, Mrs. Kundrra," he teased, walking toward her slowly.

Tejasswi narrowed her eyes at him in mock anger but gave up, dropping her hands to her sides in defeat. "Fine. Help me."

Karan chuckled softly, stepping behind her. His hands brushed her bare back lightly as he reached for the zip, making her shiver. Their eyes met again in the mirror, and suddenly, the room felt much smaller, the air heavier.

Karan moved slowly, deliberately, his fingers ghosting over her skin as he pulled the zip up, taking his time. Tejasswi's breath hitched, her cheeks turning a soft shade of pink. Once done, Karan didn't step back. Instead, he leaned in slightly, his lips brushing the shell of her ear.

"You look... breathtaking," he whispered, his voice low and warm.

Tejasswi bit her lip to hide her smile, her heart racing inside her chest. She turned around to face him, her hands resting lightly on his chest. For a moment, they just stood there, lost in each other's gaze, the world outside forgotten.

Karan tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear, his touch lingering a second longer than necessary. "Ready?" he asked, his voice barely above a murmur.

Tejasswi nodded, her voice caught somewhere between her throat and her heart.

He offered his hand, and she slipped hers into his without hesitation, feeling a sense of peace and excitement bubble inside her all at once.

Tonight was going to be special - she could feel it.

Karan opened the door for her like a true gentleman. Tejasswi slipped into the passenger seat gracefully, her gown flowing around her legs. Karan jogged around to the driver's side, got in, and started the engine. The soft hum of music played in the background as they drove off into the glowing city lights.

Tejasswi glanced sideways at him, a playful smile dancing on her lips. "You look nice," she said casually, reaching out to straighten his tie a little.

Karan smirked, keeping his eyes on the road. "Nice? Bas nice? I was aiming for Greek god."

She laughed, a soft, musical sound that instantly filled the car with warmth. "Thoda aur mehnat karo, phir sochenge," she teased, patting his shoulder.

Karan shook his head dramatically. "Kya yaar, meri biwi ko impress karna itna tough hai?"

"You signed up for this, mister," she replied, flipping her hair over her shoulder with mock pride. "Ab nibhaana padega."

Karan glanced at her quickly before focusing back on the road, a fond smile playing on his lips. "Worth it. Totally worth it."

Tejasswi's cheeks flushed slightly at his sincerity. She looked out of the window, pretending to admire the skyline to hide her smile.

"So... where are we going?" she asked after a moment, curiosity bubbling up in her voice.
