Hello everyone 😊📖.

***************************

The sun was dipping low, splashing shades of orange across the courtyard. The haldi trays had been cleared, and laughter still lingered in the air, but by evening, the house had turned into a hive of activity.

The wedding was tomorrow - and everyone had their hands full.

Some were fixing last-minute decorations, others were chasing vendors on phone calls, and the aroma of sweets wafted from the kitchen.

Tejasswi, however, had other plans.

She spotted Namish walking out from the storeroom, a box of marigolds in his hand.
"Namishhh..." she drawled, jogging up to him with a pleading smile.

Namish paused, suspicious already. "What now?"

She clasped her hands dramatically. "Please please please... can I borrow your scooty? Just for a little while."

He froze mid-step, turned slowly to face her, and gave her the are-you-serious look. "You want my scooty? In this chaos?"

"Yes!" she nodded eagerly, batting her lashes.

Namish sighed, clearly weighing his options. Then, with a resigned shake of his head, he fished the keys from his pocket and dangled them in front of her.

"Fine. But-" he pointed a finger at her in mock warning, "don't. break. my. scooty."

Tejasswi's grin stretched ear to ear. She snatched the keys, stood on her toes, planted a quick kiss on his cheek, and chirped, "Thanks, Namishhh!" before darting off like a mischievous child on a mission.

Namish stood there for a moment, a fond smile tugging at his lips as he watched her vanish.

"Paagal ladki..." he muttered, shaking his head before heading back to work.

Tejasswi pushed the door open, still in the bright mood from the haldi, and found Karan sprawled lazily across her bed, one arm behind his head, eyes half-closed like he owned the place.

"Get up!" she blurted, almost out of breath.

Karan cracked one eye open. "Why? I'm perfectly comfortable here."

"Because..." she grabbed his hand and tugged, "...we're going out."

He frowned, sitting up. "Out? At this time?" He turned his head toward the window; the sky was already streaked with deep orange fading into blue. "Where exactly do you want to go when it's almost dark?"

Instead of answering, Tejasswi stepped closer. Much closer.

Karan's brows knit together, but there was a knowing gleam in his eyes. "Tejasswi... what are you up to?"

She didn't reply. Her fingers lightly traced along his jawline, slow and deliberate. She leaned in until her lips hovered near his ear, her voice dropping into a husky whisper.

"Maybe... to make tonight a memorable one. For us."

Before he could process it, she gave a playful nip to his earlobe.

Karan's breath hitched, a shiver running down his spine. When she pulled back, a smug smirk curved her lips - clearly pleased at the effect she had on him.

"Come on," she said, tugging him toward the door.

Still a little dazed, Karan followed without protest, until they stepped outside and he spotted the vehicle waiting for them. He blinked.
