LUKE?!?!

Luke's POV

"Go thru what again?" I thought.
"LUKE! How long have you been standing there?!" Ivy hollered at me. I must have said that out loud....crap!!
"Oh....uh ummm..." I stuttered.
"How much did you hear Luke," Ivy said seriously. I couldn't say anything I didn't even know what to think.
"Luke!!" Ivy hollered at me snapping me back to reality.

"Ivy I just heard 'I don't wanna go through that again' I promise that's all I heard.
"I just blew everything." I thought helplessly.
Ivy Rae was stunned but after a split second she ran out the door not even grabbing her boots that she took off earlier. I threw my boots on and ran outside.

Ivy Rae's POV

I ran out the door forgetting my boots but I didn't care. I ran straight to the barn to my horse. My horse Hank (after Hank Williams) is my baby I have had him since I was 13. I started to saddle him and I heard a voice.

"Ivy," I heard Luke shout. I stayed quiet hoping he wouldn't find me because I just wanted to be alone for a little while.
"Ivy!!!" I heard him right outside the barn I knew I wasn't getting away.
"There you are Ivy I have been lookin for you! Why didn't you answer me hun?" I just shrugged my shoulders and turned back to saddling Hank. Luke walked to the front of the horse and petted his nose.
"Who is this handsome horse?"
"Hank," I muttered.
"Williams or Williams Jr.?"
"Williams," I said plainly. I wish he'd just let me be he will be leaving soon and I can forget about this and just swoon over his music and his face. Oh dear Lord I sound like one of them 13 year old girls that faint at the name of their crush!!!
"Ivy Rae Webb you had better tell me what's wrong with you right now or else lil missy," Luke said. His drawl was the most attractive thing.
"Or else what lil mister?"
"I- I don't know yet but I'll figure somethin out!"

"Alright fine you win this round cowboy meet me in the loft in 5 minutes I have to unsaddle Hank."

"Alrighty then," he smiled obviously pleased with himself. I took the saddle off and the saddle blanket I put under his saddle so it don't chafe and put them away. I let out a breath and climbed up the old rickety ladder to get to the loft. Once I got up to the last rung Luke offered me a hand but I refused. I'm a big girl I know how to get into a gosh darned loft.
"Alright now talk and don't you leave nothin out 'cause I wanna know every lil detail of why my good lookin girl is upset."

"Luke stop with the flirting."

"Why?"

"Well I'm bout to tell you why but you gotta quit flirtin with me!"

"Fine."

"Ok so about 5 years ago I started dating a guy named Trevor and we dated for 2 years and I was in love with him he was my first true love and he started being really distant and I tried to comfort him but he just pushed me away and on our 2 year anniversary I got a text from him sayin 'goodbye I have to leave just know it's not your fault' but I always thought it was and still do and for the next year I was in a really bad state. I'm better now it's just I don't trust anyone but Dixie and she left right after I started to feel better. I wasn't all the way healed but she needed to let go and spread her wings I couldn't hold her back. Just know you are the first person I have told about this." I finished.
