LUKE?!?!

***the next morning back at Ivy and Dixie's parent's house***

I woke up at 6 am. Good I'll be able to talk to Luke in peace. I thought.
I rolled out of bed and went straight to the extra room where Luke was sleeping. I opened the door to see Luke waking up. He stretched and the blanket fell to reveal his impressive six pack. I entered the room and walked over to the bed and sat down next to him.
"What's wrong Rae?" Luke asked.

"I- I," I couldn't spit it out. I sighed and just blurted it. "Imnotfinishingthetourwithyouguysimgoinghome!"

"Rae slow down honey."

"Luke, I'm going back to school."

"You are already in school Rae. What are you talking about?"

"No, I'm going back to Louisiana in the morning. I'm gonna finish my last semester. I'm not continuing the tour with you."

"W-w-why Rae?"

"I have to do what's best for me right now and we can hang out after the tour and then we can date and we can-"

"Rae I can't garantee myself to you after the tour." He said. My heart stopped.

"Okay," I said softly. I walked out of his room and he didn't go after me. I didn't want him to I just wanted to go back to bed. I needed to cry. So that's what I did. I put my headphones in turned on a sad song and just let it out.
I guess I eventually fell asleep because it was noon when I opened my eyes again. I didn't leave my room I just started packing. I grabbed my dirty laundry and went quietly to the laundry room, I started a load and snuck back to my room. Before I shut my door I saw Luke coming out of the extra room so I quickly shut my door.
I heard a knock. "Can I come in," Luke asked.

"No." He came in anyway. "I thought I said no."

"You did but I ignored it," he smiled.

"What do you want?"

"Just to talk."

"Fine."

***the next morning***

I woke up at 5 am hoping no one but my mom and dad would be up. I walked into their room and asked my mom to take me to the airport. She did. The ride was a daze and so was every else until I was on the plane.
It's too late to turn back now. I thought as I sat in my seat. I put my headphones in and looked out the window when I received a text.

Luke: where are you??

I thought about replying but when I picked my phone back up the announcer told us all to put our devices away. I guess if he really wants to know he'll ask my mom.

I didn't know if I was doing the right thing now. I was second guessing myself. So I prayed:

LORD, help me know that I have done the right thing. Help me know what it is that You want me to do. I know You will guide me God and my trust is in You. My life is Yours do whatever You will with it.

Amen.
