They say that teenagers can't fall in love or that they're too young to understand such a deep connection.
A wild flutter of the heart is an emotion that is nothing more than just temporary.
Unheard of they say.
That is impossible, they insist.
I believe that love is not something that you learn to do but something that you are born with. It all depends on to who you give a chance.

I believe that love can be found between people of any age; including teenagers.

"Zoe!" my eyes shot open immediately and I groaned. My sleep had once again, been interrupted by a loud teenage voice calling from down stairs.

Ugh do I really have to get up now? I thought to myself. I slowly opened my eyes and peered over at the clock. What the hell, school doesn't start for another four hours. Okay, I'll get up in twenty minutes. Slowly, I closed my eyes in hope of catching a few more minutes of sleep. Apparently sleeping was against the law or something now because just as I felt myself falling back asleep, another shriek followed only seconds after the last which caused me to jump in surprise.

"Zoe, get your ass out of bed!" My sisters voice yelled. I was not in the mood for this. Her voice screeched in a way that was similar to the sound that a chalkboard made when fingernails were scratched against it. I cringed and considered plugging my ears, but after a second I decided that even plugging my ears wouldn't block out that noise.

"Ugh, I'm coming!" I replied. I sat up quickly in my bed and slipped on a pair of my favourite white slippers which felt nice on my cold feet. I couldn't take any time to enjoy this moment, as I knew that if I did my sister, Ginny, would yell for me again. I did not want to listen to her anymore so I forced myself downstairs.

While I walked down our narrow, creaky, wooden steps I could see Ginny standing at the bottom of the stairs. Her long bangs covered one of her light blue eyes and, her hands were rested on her hips in a taunting manner. Her eyes locked on mine as I made my way past her into the kitchen. She looked like a cat who had just set its eyes on a mouse. I rolled my eyes and sighed just loud enough for her to hear.

"Ginny, why didn't mom or dad wake me?" I asked furrowing my eyebrows. While waiting for her to reply, I grabbed an apple from the fruit bowl that was placed in the centre of our kitchen table.

"Hm, I don't know Zoe. Could it be because our parents are legitimately insane?"

I rolled my eyes again, leaned against the kitchen table. I stared at my little sister mockingly.
"Is this your punishment? Getting me out of bed to go to school?" I snorted. "What'd you do this time?"

Ginny's eyes squinted slyly as she flipped her long blonde hair around and walked away. I shrugged as I resumed gnawing on my half finished Apple and sighed. My long blue and pink pajama pants dragged across the floor as I sluggishly made my way back up to my room, where I began to get dressed. I threw on a lose light pink top and some skinny jeans. My long, curly, blonde hair was too annoying to wear down as it always stuck to my lipgloss, so I threw it up into a tight pony tail which reached right bellow my shoulders.

Suddenly I felt my phone buzz in my pocket, so I pulled it out and read the text from the lock-screen of my phone. The text had been my friend Jack, asking if I needed a ride to school along with his girlfriend Harriet who turned out to be one of my long time best friends. My other best friend Corey would also be riding with us.

Since I was too lazy to walk from my lack of sleep, I decided to say yes and to catch a ride with them. I knew that most of my time would probably be spent gawking at jack and Harriet. Those two couldn't stand being apart from each other for more than five minutes and always had there hands on each other. I wanted to say that Jack and Harriet's constant need for each other was cute, but I had to admit that on top of that it was kind of creepy.

About half an hour later Jack, Harriet and Corey pulled up in Jacks dads super nice and expensive Lamborghini. They beeped the horn, basically telling me to 'hurry the hell up,' so I trotted out of my little yellow house and hopped into the back seat.

"What were you doing in there? Building the pyramids"? Harriet asked teasingly.

"No, it's called tying your shoes." I replied raising my eyebrows.

"Okay, what ever you say Zoe." Harriet laughed.

"Hey Zoe." Corey greeted me, giving me a half smile.

"Hey Corey." I replied as I did up my seatbelt. The seats in the car were super cozy which was understandable considering that it was a Lamborghini. I had imagined that the car probably costed more than my house, no exaggeration was necessary.

For most of the drive Corey and I talked about random subjects. We talked about things such as what percent of milk was our favorite, and whose eyes were bigger. Besides that Corey and I watched Jack, and Harriet flirt and we made gagging faces at each other whenever Jack rested his hand on Harriet's thigh. I couldn't help but feel slightly jealous of them though, because aside from the fact that they were the most clingy, and paranoid couple that I had ever met. I never admitted it out loud and I never planned to. For the first time I realized that maybe the reason to why I made fun of them so much was because I was jealous.

When we arrived at school, I hopped out of the car feeling even more desperate for love then usual. Trust me, you only start referring to yourself as desperate when you truly are. I didn't just want a hookup, or something that would last a week. I wanted actual love. The kind of love that you read about in books, or like the love in movies. I wanted love like Jack and Rose from the Titanic. I wanted love and I wanted it now.
