Clip my wings and I will stay
Make me stay despite the pain
Cage me and I am yours
Only my body not my soul.
Hold me tight and I will smile
Kiss me and I will sigh
My body is yours
But never my soul.
Tell me you love me
Give me the world
Pull down the moon
But I will never swoon.
Lay down the world on my feet
I will waltz with you in grit
I can smile and show you joy
My body is yours not my soul.
Show me the way to freedom
Unchain me with respect
Turn your back and walk out
Someday you will have my soul.
