Just when you thought
Your knees wobbled
Walking a trail-less path
The dark alley of the unknown
The dimly lit diagonal box
You smelled the pungent scent of pain
The nostalgic cry in your throat
The constricting nerves of anxiety
And the fear of height
Then when you were about to jump
A hand held yours,
Intertwining
Holding tight
And then you let go
Finally, you feel safe.
