CHAPTER 22

Blessing Ceremony

The years had flown by, and the Naoki family had returned to the familiar embrace of the UK. Tenn and Riku, on the cusp of turning five, were eagerly preparing to embark on their kindergarten journey. Yoh, now a sprightly eight-year-old, had settled back into London life.  Naoki had secured a place for him in a nearby elementary school, conveniently located just across the street from Tenn and Riku's kindergarten.

During their two years abroad, Rachy had patiently nurtured her children's talents. Tenn and Riku, quick learners, had blossomed under her guidance, mastering the basics of piano and English. Yoh, having triumphed in a piano competition upon their return, now dedicated his free time to honing his musical skills.

One evening, The aroma of dinner wafted from the kitchen, where Rachy and the maid were busy preparing the evening meal. In Yoh's room, Tenn and Riku were engaged in their own activities. Riku was engrossed in a book, while Tenn and Yoh were locked in a chess match. Yoh, surprised by Tenn's skill, exclaimed, "Tenn-chan, I didn't know you had quite a talent in chess..."

"I learned it while watching YouTube," Tenn replied nonchalantly.

"That's cool," Yoh said, his eyes gleaming with admiration. "Let's continue."

"Sure," Tenn agreed, eager to continue the game.

The chess match continued, each move carefully considered. Riku, meanwhile, finished his book and looked up at his brothers, who were still deeply immersed in their game.

"They haven't finished yet," Riku mused. "Should I get another book to read?"

He wandered over to Yoh's bookshelf, his eyes scanning the titles. A half-open wardrobe caught his eye, and curiosity compelled him to open it. Inside, he found a guitar case. Riku's eyebrows shot up in surprise. Why would Yoh keep a guitar in his wardrobe? He carefully pulled out the case and opened it, revealing a beautiful Spruce & Rosewood Black Acoustic Guitar with a unique fretboard design.

Riku picked up the guitar and walked over to Yoh, who was still focused on the chessboard. "Yoh-nii chan, this guitar...?" he asked.

"Oh, that's my birthday present from Uncle Ron," Yoh explained, a smile spreading across his face. "I got it when I turned three, but I couldn't play it back then, so Mom kept it in my wardrobe."

"It's a really unique guitar," Tenn chimed in, his eyes wide with admiration.

Riku, unable to contain his excitement, asked, "Yoh-nii chan, can I play it?"

"Sure, go ahead," Yoh replied, his smile widening. "But you haven't learned how to play, have you? And it's a bit big for you to hold, Riku-chan."

Riku, undeterred, held the guitar aloft and sat down on the floor. "Don't worry, I can handle it," he said confidently.

He began to play, and a beautiful, smooth melody filled the room. Tenn and Yoh watched in stunned silence, their eyes sparkling with surprise.  The music flowed from Riku's fingers, a testament to a hidden talent that had just been revealed.

When Riku finished, Yoh rushed to his side, his voice filled with awe. "Riku-chan, I didn't know you could play so well! That's amazing!"

Tenn, still reeling from the unexpected display, jumped in. "Yoh nii-san, Riku learned it from YouTube. He just picks things up so fast."

Yoh, unable to contain his excitement, shot out of the room, yelling, "I have to tell Mom about Riku's amazing guitar skills!"

Riku and Tenn stared at each other, their faces a mixture of shock and amusement.  Yoh was already halfway down the hallway, heading for the kitchen where their mother was preparing dinner.

"He sure run fast," Tenn remarked, shaking his head.

Riku, a worried frown on his face, said, "Tenn-nii, what should we do? He's going to tell Mom before we can even stop him!"

The warmth of the kitchen filled with the sounds of laughter and music as Yoh, Rachy, and Naoki reveled in their sons' burgeoning talents.  Yoh had excitedly shared Tenn's prowess in chess and Riku's natural ability to play the guitar, leaving Rachy beaming with pride.  Naoki, upon returning from work, was equally enthralled, showering his sons with hugs and praise.  Tenn, ever the pragmatist, explained their newfound skills were a result of dedicated YouTube tutorials, a testament to the power of online learning.  The family was overjoyed, their hearts swelling with happiness as they witnessed their children blossom.

Rachy, eager to hear Riku's musical talent firsthand, requested a performance.  Yoh, ever supportive, handed Riku the guitar, urging him to play.  Riku, initially nervous, turned to Tenn for reassurance, his brother's nod of encouragement calming his nerves.  Tenn, filled with a sense of awe and pride, decided to capture the moment on Rachy's phone, knowing he had to share this precious memory.  He had recently created a secret Google Drive account, a safe haven for his personal treasures.

As Riku strummed the guitar, the kitchen transformed into a concert hall, filled with the enchanting melodies of his playing.  The family was captivated, their hearts swaying to the rhythm of Riku's music.  Tenn, discreetly recording the performance, felt a surge of happiness, knowing he would cherish this memory forever.  The night ended with a sense of contentment, the family basking in the glow of their children's talents.
