Chapter 5: Lies

Telling people the truth is hard. When they don't believe you it's even harder.
I decided to confront Cherry about all of this. All off my work to find out what happened. And what I had experienced.
I drove up to her house on Saturday. John's car was there, so I assumed they were in.
I knocked on there door. John answered and was surprised to see me. He gave me and hug and invited me inside.
"Hey darling, want a drink?" John asked.
"No I'm alright thank you. Is Cherry in?"
He shook his head.
"I'm sorry darling, you should of called. Now look at you, you made all this effort for nothing."
I smiled at him.
"It's fine. I have something to talk to you about though."
"Sure. Come, let's have a seat."
We went into the living room and sat down on the sofa. I flopped down as he sat next to me. He came closer to me, which was odd.
"So what's up Hun?"
"Yesterday, I think I saw Vera." I said worriedly. I wasn't sure how he would re act.
"Vera... The girl Avia was name calling to? What in real life?"
"No it was a dream."
"Oh, well that's alright then."
"It's not though. She said Avia had killed her and that she had taken over my body!"
"Cass, it was a dream. And that could of been nothing to do with our Avia."
"Well, technically she wasn't yours." I stated. Cherry had split with her ex husband, the father of Avia, and a few years later started dating John.
He started laughing weirdly.
"Oh, Cassy baby. You always make me laugh."
I smiled politely, even though I was finding this name calling rather uncomfortable.
"Right. Well if we could get back to-"
"Cass, Cass. Ssshhh." He put his finger on my lips. I tore it away.
"He then grabbed hold of me and pulled me down onto the sofa. He started trying to take off his trousers. I knew what was happening.
"HELP! Get off me please!"
"No, Aiva. One more time."
Avia? I wasn't Avia?
Suddenly Scott burst through the front door and into the living room.
"CASSY!" He shouted, and punched John in the face. He let me go and fell to the floor.
Scott grabbed my hand and we ran out the house.
