Chapter 7: Investigating Begins
I got inside and processed everything I knew. I got out a note pad and started to write down what I knew.
-Avia went mental. Because of/ 'Vera'/ Depression / A mental illness / Being sexually assaulted
-When Vera came to visit me in my dreams, she said- "Avia and her boyfriend killed me."
-Mental because of that?
I shook my head. This was too much. I began to tear up as I closed the note book. What had happened to that poor girl? And I needed to tell Cherry about the real John! I couldn't face calling her though, not after John. Besides, she would never believe me.
I couldn't ask Cherry, John or Scott. The only person I could think of at the time is that nice lady I talked to on the phone, Cindy I think her name was? Yeah, Cindy Farrow. Maybe she would know something. I remembered I had her number on my phone she gave it to me when I called the hospital. So, I rang her up.
It was dialling for a short while; and then she picked up.
"Hello? Who is this?" She said.
"Its... Uh...Castelle. Castelle Waters? You gave me your number a while back, and I was wondering if-"
"Oh my god, Castelle! I've been meaning to call you!"
"Oh, uh why?"
"I know a LOT more on this whole Avia case now. They have asked me to take it on and investigate. I needed to call you to ask of you knew any answers to the questions I have."
"Well, actually I've been meaning to call you aswell Cindy, because I need to know more aswell."
"Okay, well, ask away!"
"Did Avia struggle with a mental illness?"
"Well, Cherry said she had been reported to have depression, and anger issues." Cindy said.
"Alright. Do you have any leads on this 'Vera' girl yet?"
She sighed. "Not as such. You?"
"Well, my new information states that Avia and her boyfriend were out late one night- and ran over a little girl. Then I had a creepy ass dream where I met Vera- she was saying stuff like "Avia helped me, so I helped her". Avia's boyfriend was experiencing some of the things that Avia went through; and died the exact same way. That has to mean something."
"Woah, yeah for sure." I could hear Cindy scribbling away. "We need to find out this Vera girls last name, that would be easier for me to look up."
"Yeah." I said sighing. Suddenly, a drop of blood fell from above me. I looked up, and the word, 'Falls" was written. I gasped, but said nothing to Cindy. I didn't want to freak her out. I knew this was Vera's own doing.
"Try; Vera Falls."
"Why?"
"It's just a hunch." I said, staring at the ceiling. It had begun.
