Chapter 10 : The Date

"I can't wait till he sees you!" Draculaura squealed. She jumped up and down while clapping her hands.

"You look beautiful." Clawdeen smiled, meeting my eyes in the mirror, as she did my hair.

I returned her smile, only my smile was a nervous wreck.

"Don't be nervous. You'll be fine." Rochelle reassured.

"You have to tell us every little detail afterwards!" Sirena demanded.

I laughed. "Okay, I will."

"Uh, easy on the mascara Draculaura." Twyla said. "Too much and her eyelashes might fall off."

"Sorry." Draculaura sheepishly replied, moving on to coat my next eye with mascara.

"You ghouls are amazing, you didn't have to go out of your way to help me out." I said.

"It's what ghouls friends are for." Clawdeen replied.

Today's the day Porter is taking me out on our first date. I haven't seen him since the last time I visited, which was Wednesday.

When I told my friends about the date, they all started freaking out. I can still hear Draculaura squealing in my ears.

Everyone offered to help me get ready for my date with Porter. I told them it was fine, but they wouldn't take no for an answer.

"Done." Said Draculaura, closing up the mascara.

"Me too." Said Clawdeen, as she finished curling the last strand of my hair.

"I told you that dress would match her eyes. It looks perfect." Rochelle stated, observing my dress.

I'm wearing a sparkling knee length dress; It's an off-the-shoulder dress colored in aqua. I'm also wearing aqua stiletto, and diamond earrings along with it. My hair is flowing behind my back in long curls.

"You're right Rochelle, it looks amazing on Spectra." Twyla said.

"Ooh, stand up and twirl!" Sirena asked.

I stood up and twirled as the girls awed in amazement.

"After this date, I wouldn't be surprised if you and Porter end up being official!" Draculaura grinned.

Uh oh.

I totally forgot to tell them that Porter and I are already officially together. I got so caught up with Marvin, my date with Porter, and rushing to finish my blogs that I totally forgot to tell them.

I took a deep breath. "Uh, guys...I actually have to tell you something."

They all stopped chatting among each other, and turned to face me with concern looks on all of their faces.

"What is it Spectra?" Clawdeen asked.

I fiddled with my fingers, and looked down at the ground. "I was real busy these past few days and was caught up in a lot of stuff that I forgot to tell you something. Porter already asked me to be his girlfriend...and I said yes."

Everyone's jaw dropped.

"OMG!!" Draculaura gave an ear piercing squeal, causing me to cover my ears.

I swear this girl will make me go deaf one day.

"That's amazing news!" Rochelle said, a huge smile on her face.

"I thought I was going to have to break him in half if painter boy tried anything on you tonight. I didn't know he was your boyfriend!" Clawdeen threw her hands in the air in exasperation.
