Chapter 16: Under the Spell

I'm....under the spell..

"Spectra." Without a single thought, I turned my head towards Marvin.

Marvin smirked and held out his hands. "Come here to me Spectra."

I want to turn back to Porter right now...I want to jump into his arms..I want him to hold me...

Yet instead, I walked towards Marvin and..

took his hand.

"That's a good girl." Marvin whispered in my ear.

No...I want this to stop. Someone, Porter, help me!

Porter stood in front of me glaring at Marvin, with his hands clenched by his sides. "Marvin leave Spectra alone!"

Marvin chuckled. "Hmm..why should I?"

Porter clenched his jaw tight as he sent murderous glares towards Marvin. "I won't let you take what belongs to me."

"Is that soo..?" Marvin's smirk continued to play on his lips as he leaned towards me and planted a playful kiss on my cheek. 

His kiss sent shivers down my spine, but I was unable to move. It was like someone had tied a rope around me.

Someone please stop this.

"That's it, I'm going to-!" Porter was cut off by a shout.

"GET AWAY FROM SPECTRA!" Kiyomi pushed Marvin from behind, separating us.

I was thankful for that, I couldn't stand being near him!

Marvin fumbled forward but quickly caught his balance and sent a cold glare towards Kiyomi. "You shouldn't have done that."

Kiyomi took a step back with fear written all over her face.

"Spectra grab her!" Marvin shouted to me.

No I can't, but...

I grabbed Kiyomi from behind and didn't budge as she tried to struggle free.

Wait..why am I doing this?? I need to let her go but something is telling me not to..and it's more than just the spell that's bound to me...

I tightened my grip on Kiyomi.

Marvin chuckled. "Just as I thought..deep inside Spectra is still hurt from the kiss Kiyomi and Porter shared, isn't that right Spectra?"

I saw Porter's eyes widened as they looked at me.

What is this feeling? I should be upset about what Marvin said but instead...I'm not. 

Oh no..can it be true? Am I really that hurt deep inside..?

I winced as I felt sharp pain in the pit of my stomach.

To be honest the kiss...it didn't just bother me a bit. It bothered me a lot.

"Spectra..." I heard Porter say. "Look..I didn't know how to tell you, it wasn't on purpose I..I swear!"

My boyfriend kissed my best friend.

Kiyomi spoke up. "Spectra I-I'm so sorry! It wasn't on purpose like I told you..Marvin h-he forced me! I-I had to do it because I didn't want to get hurt...I was being so selfish and..and I'm sorry!"

Porter gasped, knowing nothing. "What?! Marvin forced you?"

Kiyomi nodded her head and I heard her sniffle from in front of me, my guess was she was crying. "I-Its..it's all my fault..I was just too scared of him so I had to do it!"
