"This is stupid." I muttered as i walked past Edith."Your doing some weird magic trick with my mind. It's not funny anymore Edith!" I grew angry suddenly, with myself, with Edith, with Shelbi. I kept walking even though i heard her foot steps not trudging after mine. I came out into a clearing only to find a couple cop cars parked in front. A blond man happened to turn his head and see me, otherwise i could of ran the other way and no one would've noticed.

I threw items randomly into my suitcase my eyes becoming teary. My phone charged while I packed. I decided to walk into my mother's room. She's not really dead, i think to myself as i grab one of her favorite scarfs from her closet and smell it. It smelled like she was there, behind me, as if i could just turn around and be in her arms. She was so gentle. No, she is so gentle. I walked into my room just as my phone began to ring.

"Hello?" I didn't even see who it was. "Ummm Kason?" The number was unknown."Yah?" It was a male's voice on the other end. "This is Dylan, um" I heard shouts from his mother in the background. "Yah you ruined my life, i hope you know that." I went to hang up but i heard him sigh. "I'm sorry for hitting you and getting you suspended......." I heard more shouts. "And I'm sorry about your mom-" I already had the phone back on the charger and hung up. I shook my head. How did people already know? I sat down on my bed feeling the soft fabric of her scarf.

A knock came at my door. "Kason, Ms.Limson is here to pick you up. Ya right. After she got her money. I threw a couple more items into my unorganized suitcase case and zipped it up. I grinned at the small skull sticker I remember mom putting on there since I didn't like it when I first got it. "It's too plain." I complained when I got it for Christmas. Then she told me we were going to the Bahamas and I nearly wet my pants. That was the best Christmas ever. I was only seven.

I picked up my viola (which I love with like my life) And walked down the stairs. The officer was leaving the door open waiting for me outside. Dad HATED leaving the door open to the house. He would of slammed it and locked it sixty times. He told me one time, when i left it open for like two seconds to get my baseball glove that the door monster would eat me up if i don't shut it every time i do something. Ever since i was terrified of leaving it open. Later i figured out it was because he just hates letting the air conditioning out and that its always hot where we live, apparently.

Sure enough my aunt, scrunched nose and all smiled warmly at her car. "Kason! Oh Deary! You look wonderful, did you cut your hair?" She went to put a hand on my shoulder but i just moved away. "Don't touch me." I muttered as I got in the car. First chance I get I'm running. She frowned and shut the car door. "Thank you officer" I heard her say from the crack in the car window.

Something caught my eye while i was in the car and i glanced over to see in the seat next to me a boy. I jumped and couldn't see straight for a minute, I was terrified and scooted closer to the window. The fact is, he was staring right at me, a smile curled on his lips. He had long brown hair, down to his chin on the sides of his face. "Hi." he said in almost a whisper. I didn't reply, now uncomfortable.

My aunt got in the car and drove off. I looked out the window, trying to make it seem like I wasn't interested in this mysterious little boy that just popped up in the seat next to me. "Kason deary, look at me." I glanced in the rear view mirror to see her big gawky sunglasses reflecting my face. "Are you ok?" I didn't reply and looked over in the seat next to me to find him gone. Disappeared. In thin air. Gone. No better way to put it.
