"Get to your room." she hissed. She really didn't like the way I came down the stairs for dinner. I was in pajamas and my favorite beanie. I just stared at her, like she was stupid. I still think she is.
"Go change or something, your not eating in that." She continued to eat.
"I just won't eat at all." I muttered. I
walked back upstairs and I heard her shouting at me as I went. I went inside what she said was my new room and slammed the door. Life sucks. I sat on my bed and laid on my back and looked up at the ceiling. "Why did you have to go?" I asked quietly, my eyes tearing up. I picked up her scarf from my nightstand and smelled it again.
"Psssst." I quickly sat up.
My closet door moved slightly. Around then I was going to pee my pants. Too much creepy stuff. I shivered then stood up and did something ALL people do in the horror movies. I went to go see what it was. Stupid curiosity. If I really were a cat I'd need a hundred lives.
I slowly slid open the small door to find the boy looking up at me from where he sat.
"Come here." He said holding out her hand. This is so weird. I have nothing better then just sulk and mourn some more. Might as well. I took his hand and was immediately sucked into something. My skin tingled and all i saw was white. Small green swirls floated around me and my hair stood on end. Then it all stopped and I was in a forest. Standing in some greenery and facing the boy. My face must've been of just twisted horror because he looked frightened. My hands shook and I forced a smile. Then I threw up. The sun began to set and then boy still stood there, watching me carefully. He giggled as I wiped whatever I ate this morning from my mouth.
"Hi Kason." I froze.
"How do you know my name?" I asked. He giggled again. "I'm Oliver." He said, much louder. "How did I get here? Who are you? What happened? Why am I here?" I asked all at once. He just sat there wide eyed. "Follow me." We said smiling then walking into the forest. Yeah, let's follow the forest elf to the sugar plum kingdom, perfect.
I followed him through the forest that I didn't recognize still pondering on questions he never answered. We came to a clearing. Sure enough Edith was sitting on a small moss covered stump, smiling. "Kason, this is Oliver, he's going to teach you how to work your powers." I tapped my foot and took off my beanie. I ran my hand through my hair and looked down.I was still wearing sweatpants and a black shirt.
"He can teliport, cool right? Very few can do that." Edith said standing.
"I never want to do that ever ever ever ever ever ever ever again." i said putting my beanie back on. Edith laughed. "Remind me to never teliport in his portals then." she said walking ahead. Then she disappeared. Oliver skipped off and half his body disappeared then he waved for me to come a long. There is no way. I walked to where they went and its like i entered a bubble, a really cool bubble. On the other side was a whole different forest. The grass was purple and I got a headache. Everything was reversed. I was upside down, I was walking on the sky not the grass. I closed my eyes and wanted to cry, everything hurt my head.
Then it stopped and i sat up. Everything was normal. I guess. Oliver and Edith looked at me from where they stood shaking their heads.
"What?" I asked confused.
"You've got a lot to learn."Edith chuckled. Oliver nodded from beside her.
I quickly sat up, and dusted myself off like nothing happened, then i took in my surroundings. Teenagers, around my age walked around minding their business. Then I saw a orange cat and it came up to where we stood. It sat down and groomed itself without a care in the world. Edith smiled big. "Kason meet Vitta." Edith said. I cocked a brow. "Really? A cat? How cute Edith, your not fooling anyone."I said arms crossed. The cat quickly sprouted up into a girl. My eyes were wide as I lay there on the ground. She had long red hair, to her elbows and a bang that cut across her forehead unevenly. Her cheeks were covered in freckles. Her eyes were just a mess of colors. She popped her gum in her mouth and crossed her arms.
"You can breath now." She said, brow raised. I exhaled realizing I was holding my breath. I quickly stood up and grinned. She tilted her head, popping her gum again. "This is him?" She asked, Oliver. He nodded. "Great." She walked away, shifting back to a cat.
"Oh Kason! Your going to love it here!" Edith exclaimed. I was still watching her walk off into the crowds of kids.
"Yeah, sure. What did you say her name was Vetna?" I asked. "Vitta." Edith crossed her arms.
"She's going to coach you, along with her boyfriend, Dylan." She said. Two words found their way into my ears. Boyfriend and Dylan. "Who?" I asked tapping my foot again. "It seems you two have met before, yes? I was told he went to your school." She said patting me on the back.
Now I want to go home.
