Chapter 14

Annabeth

I wait patiently at the door waiting for Leo and Percy to come out of the garage. Leo had literally just finished the car and was super tired, so naturally I’m driving, and I highly doubt that Leo would leave Percy in charge. Just saying.

“Bloody hell.” Stacy mumbled rolling her eyes.  “Could they be any slower?” I mentally thought, well, yes, yes they could be slower. I lent up against the door frame and twirled a bit of my blonde hair around my pointer finger. Stacy sighed again, “Long lost brother, why do you have to take so long, Nico is probably-” she paused. “Well actually, he is probably managing quite well, but still.” Jeeze even a blind man could see that Stacy was totally crushing on snape. Wait I mean Nico, don’t you dare tell him that, I don’t want him to take my soul.

Beep, beep!

“Get in losers we’re going shopping!” Leo yelled from the road. I face-palmed myself, ever since I talked Leo and Percy into watching Mean Girls they have been, non-stop quoting things from it, it was starting to get on my nerves. Stacy skipped over to the car, lifting up the hood of the car and checking out the engine.

“Nice one Repair boy.” Stacy hi-fived Leo and climbed into the back, ruffling his hair in the process. Leo swiped her hands away and began fixing up his messy hair. That made no sense.

“Well Annabeth, what are you waiting for, an invitation? Hop in.” Leo gestured toward the door.

“Yeah, yeah I’m coming keep your pants on.”  I walked over to the car and jumped in. Yes I jumped in, stupid Leo didn’t give the back any doors. “Um Leo?”

“Mmh.”

“Did you and Percy fill the tank with fuel, did you pack food, did you-”

“Calm down.” Percy planted a kiss on my forehead. “We got everything under control, trust me.” I smiled and calmed down.

“Just making sure.” I said buckiling up my seat belt.

“Okay PDA over, driving now.” Leo said turning the key. The car fired up and Leo sped off down the street. I thought he would yell something like ‘flame on!’ or ‘Ho, ho, ho Merry Christmas!’ but he didn’t.

We were flying over the states of America. No joke, Leo had attached some wings to the car and we were almost at our destination, Mississippi.  It was heading into night, the sun was setting and the stars were coming out. It looked like a photo.

“Screw it!” Stacy said. “Leo, I’m hungry.” She said stretching out the ‘y’, Leo cursed.

“Stacy you have just eaten, can’t you like, I don’t know, wait?”

“N.O.”

“Well you have to. I only packed enough food for the three day we expect to be travelling.”  Stacy mumbled something that I couldn’t quite make out.  

“There!” I shouted as the Mississippi river came into view. “Percy, where’s Nico?”

“Towards the end the last time we spoke, which was, well the first. I don’t think he has moved.” 

“Which end?” Leo asked.

“Um…That one.”  Percy pointed and Leo nodded, turning the car and starting the descend.

Me: Sorry, the chapters are sucking at the moment. Grrrr. Anyway I don’t own the PJO and HOO series Rick Riordan does.

Percy: Well once we get Nico, bring him home and get back in the swing of things the chapters will be better right?

Me: Yeah!

Annabeth: Okay.

Leo: Some um, Flame on eh.

Annabeth: Yeah.

Leo: FLAME ON! Yeah nah I just can’t connect to the line.

Stacy: Um da fuq

Leo: Your just jellyfish coz you don’t got no fire power.

Me: Um okayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

Zeus: Children, that vehicle you were flying… Quite impressive, though son of Poseidon, you are lucky that I didn’t blast you out of the sky.

Percy: Zeus are you still mad that I turned down the immortality offer, please just take a chill pill and calm you eagle farm.

Leo: Dude you can’t just speak to Zeus like that.

Zeus: Leo is right, Jackson that was rude and disrespectful, though I am in no mood to get mad.

Me: Wahh?

Zeus: Yeah, anyway I came here to say that you were meant to be attending school, like normal humans, but I guess Nico thought otherwise, eh?

Stacy: He was abducted.

Zeus: I know, and I am here to say good job, you can still plan quests though you’re a bit out of shape, I think that you lot need some exercise.

Percy: Um well they don’t teach sword fighting at school.

Zeus: Why didn’t you bring Jason with you?

Annabeth: I don’t know?

Me: Okay you lot keep talking whilst I say bye bye.
