Heroes of Olympus: The Mark of New York

PERCY

I walked out of Annabeth's room, slightly breathless. I hoped to the gods that I wouldn't run into someone and have to explain myself, that would be awkward. I walked out if the girls level, tip-toeing. I got in the elevator and went down to our level.

Before I got out of the lift I checked everyone was inside their rooms before sprinting down the hall way to my room. I quickly opened the door and stepped inside. I was greeted by the amazing room my dad picked out for me. It had a dark blue wall with a pine bed head, the rest if the room had timber finishings too and the blue concept was brought all the way through. On the wall with only shelves and a dirty clothes basket was a collage of blue and white paper stuck together to create a wave. it looked awesome.

I continued into my ensuite and went straight to the cupboard above the basin.

Where are they? I repeated over and over in my head, scavenging around, knocking my razor and other things to the ground.

After I was certain the box wasn't in the cupboard I began to look through the draws, one by one.

The first draw nothing, the second nothing, the third... bingo! I opened the cardboard box and took out the package. I tossed it in the air s few times, checked myself in the mirror, drenched my mouth in listerine, then after another once over, I deemed myself presentable and confidently strutted out of my room and into the hallway, bumping into a figure that seemed to be running at hurricane like speed.

"Whoa buddy, where's the fire?" I asked helping the figure up. The hallway lights were turned off and all I could see was the figures curly hair. At first I though it was Hazel but I then realised that Hazel was indeed not a man. "Leo?" I asked trying to focus.

"Guilty."

"Man where have you been!" I yelled. Leo's hand hit my face at super sonic speed, covering my mouth.

"Shush..."

"Waff are oo ooing?" I asked.

"Huh?" Leo looked at me then at his hand, he made an 'O' shape with his mouth and released me.

"What are you doing?" I repeated.

"I forgot a few things, no biggy."

"What are you doing?" I asked again.

"Leaving." he stated getting ready to run away. I held my arm out and stopped him from getting past. "Going to get someone." he stated, sitting defeated on the ground. I joined him there.

"Who?"

"Someone I promised to save." Leo looked to his left and picked something up off the floor. he held it to his face and examined the object. "Percy mate, haven't you heard about getting married first?" my eyes widened and snapped to the object Leo was holding. Shit.

"Um... would you believe me if I said it's not nine?" Leo shook his head. I swiped at the package but Leo pulled away making me miss.

"What if it breaks, Percy? What if you impregnate Annabeth? 18 and pregnant."

"Give it back." I whined ignoring Leo's last comments.

"Um... on one condition. if you do get her pregnant you call your child, girl or boy, Leo." I nodded. Leo handed my the condom and snickered. "have fun." he taunted before getting up and leaving me alone in the dark hallway.

"Wait Leo." the boy stopped and turned around.

"Yeees." He said slyly.

"Where are you going now?"

"To get Calypso."
