Chapter 11

Nico

I slowly opened my eyes, adjusting to my surroundings. Personally I thought that I was going to wake up and find myself in a dark, damp cave with little light source. But to my surprise I was lying on a bed of grass facing a cloudless sky. I sat up slowly, my back hurt like hell and my right arm wouldn’t work. I gritted my teeth together and summoned all my strength to get me off my back.

“Careful!” An unfamiliar voice called. I tilted my head to see who was there. It was a girl, who looked a bit like Juniper, Grover’s girlfriend.

“Where am I?” I asked finally sitting up.

“That is a very good question, ask me later.”

“Ok then how did I get here?” I muttered half expecting her to say that she saw an ugly monster carrying me away so she stepped in and saved me. Though, that’d be kind of embarrassing, the son of Hades being saved by a tree nymph.

“Oh you fell out of the sky.” She stated, “And fell on that rock over there. Bad fall, horrible fall. You were unconscious when I came to help.”

“Ok so, I fell out of the sky landed on a rock then fell unconscious.” I summed up and she nodded. “I don’t know where I am or who you are. I think my arm is broken and I have nothing to send for help. Brilliant.”

“Well, Nico di Angelo, my name is willow, this is my tree.” She said pointing towards a willow tree on the end of a river bank. “We are somewhere near Mississippi. But as for sending for help how about an empathy link.”  I sighed.

“I don’t really know about that.”

“Oh c’mon it’s easy, just think of the person you wish to contact, then focus really hard, and hey presto you’re talking to them via an empathy link.”

“I don’t know? Do you have any gold drachma?” I asked.

“One, one gold drachma, though why should I give it to you?”   I gave her my best puppy dog face to try and sway her judgement. She tossed me the coin. “Son of Hades you owe me one.” With that Willow went back into her tree, leaving me alone. Now, how do I do this again? Think Nico, think Iris-message.

Percy

Annabeth saw straight through the prank. Connor laughed when Travis said a few things and gave it away. Leo fell on the floor laughing and Jason chocked on water. Though I have to say that the prank was really fun.

I was just about ready to do homework (I know, crazy right.) when an image flickered in front of me.

“Nico?” I asked.

“Hey Percy, um you’re not busy are you?”

“Um, no. Where are you, what happened and why are you holding your arm like that? Did you break it?”  I rambled on for a while, and then Nico shushed me.

“Percy just wait until I come back to antagonised me with your stupid questions, until then help me out.” Nico complained.

“Fine, where are you, I’ll come find you.” I said going into big brother (NOT THE SHOW) mode.

“That’s the thing all I know is that I’m near the Mississippi river.”

“Well that’s real helpful.”

“If I go in the water, will you be able to find me.”

“Nico, I really have no idea, maybe.” I sighed. “Get up and try.”

“Ok.” He struggled. His right arm I think is broken because when he put it down he gritted his teeth and closed his eyes. He was clearly in pain. It took Nico a few attempts to get up, and get to the water. But just as he got close he fell in. It wasn’t very deep and he hit his arm on a rock. Nico screamed out in pain, but soon gained composure. He cursed under his breath. “Can you see where I am?” I closed my eyes, he was somewhere at the end of the river, the bearings were fuzzy but I knew where he was.

 “Yes Nico, I can see you.”

“Yay, please come get me, I’m hungry.” And just like that Nico waved his hand through the rainbow and the connection faulted. The line went dead and Nico was no longer there. I walked out of my room and into Annabeth’s.

“Guess what?” I asked breaking her concentration.

“This better be good seaweed brain.”

“I know where Nico is. Though not precisely.”

“I don’t care. Where is he?” She said jumping out of her seat.

“Towards the end of the Mississippi river.” I said closing my eyes, trying to focus in on his exact location.

“Ok, who will go, I will, you too. How about we take Leo and Stacy?”

“Yeah, and leave Connor and Travis and Piper and Jason.” I replied wryly

“They can invite people over, like Katie and some mortal friends.” Annabeth suggested.

“Yeah ok, let’s go tell them.” I wrapped my arm around her waist and we walked towards the elevator.

Me: Sorry for the short chapter. Like I said before (previous chapter) I am super busy, though I though I could write a little bit whilst I was not doing much. I also have started on chapter 12 though I probably wont be uploading that for a little while or until the school holidays. And whilst I'm here I might as well say, I don't own any of the PJO series or HOO series I only own Stacy and a few other people. Rick Riordan owns  PJO series & HOO series.

Percy: That was a mouthful.

Me: Tell me about it.

Leo: I have absolutely no clue what to say... 

Jason: Ha, you really are pissed aren't you?

Leo: Gee I wonder why? Hmm lets think... JASON YOU ASSHOLE!

Jason: Jeez clam down. It was only a stupid car.

Leo: Stupid, It was my baby you poo head.

Piper: Jason what did you do?

Jason: You'll find out in the next chapter.

Annabeth: *pats leo on the back* Don't worry, whatever happened will get better.

Leo: Unless beauty queen can make Jason give me back my car, I'll turn into Golem.

Jason: Leo mate i'm sorry but you lost fair and square. I can't just do that, even if you are, like one of my best mates supposedly my best mate. 

Percy: Seeing Leo turn into Golem would be hilarious. 

Leo: *sends death glare at Percy* If you need me, I'll be in the garage. Correction MY garage.

Jason: Puh-lease I don't even like the garage, to- Actually I don't know, I just really wanted to say Puh-lease

Stacy: What in the name of Hades just happened.

Me: I have no idea, sorry.
