Shelby POV
I know I seemed harsh on Rachel, but I just don't want her to make the same mistake I did. All men are the same, and I don't want Rachel finding that out the hard way. So right now me and Jill are going to her dorm to tell her she can stay for one more week.

"I wonder how she's taking it" Jill asked

We made our way to her dorm

"Rachel it us" I say knocking

"Yeah we just want to talk" Jill yells

We knock again, no answer. Then again, no answer, that's weird. I wonder if she's home.

"Rachel open up" I yell

Nothing

"She has a spare in the plant" Jill says taking the key

We open up to find an empty room. Like completely empty, any trace of Rachel is gone. The only thing we find is a note on the bare bed. I look at Jill scared and confused. She picks up the note and begins

"Dear Mom and Aunt Jill..." Jill reads I can already hear Rachel's voice

If you are reading this note, it means I am already gone. I have run away with Finn, somewhere you will never find us. I know you think he's bad, but he isn't, in fact he's sweet and kind and has such a beautiful heart. I love Finn and Finn loves me, he's my person. You were once in love with dad too, so try to understand what I'm feeling, but also know, Finn isn't dad. Finns different he loves me and sticks by me. Not all men are bad, I'm sorry you fell in love with a bad one. I'm also sorry you never took the time to even meet Finn, and know I have to write this letter explaining why I've decided to abandon you. Know that is still love you, and aunt Jill, with all my heart, that for sure will never change. Please forgive me one day, I hope when the time is right, I can come home.

I was in tears, my baby really ran away. And for what? A boy, who I know will only bring her trouble. I love Rachel, but she is so naïve. I just hope for her sake this ends well

"She's gone, she really left" I say
"We pushed her too hard, we should've never threatened to send her off" Jill said with tears flowing down
"She'll come back, hopefully" I replied

Four years later

Shelby POV
Jill and I decided to move in together because we didn't want to be alone. Sometimes She travels with me when I go somewhere fun. I retired acting after Rachel left. I still hope she comes back or is at least safe with a man who treats her well. Jill and I decided to leave her room as it is, in case she returns. I made sure to still love in the same place here in New York. When Rachel's friend Santana had her baby, she told us Rachel was doing fine, apparently Rachel trusted to keep contact with her. Last time she said that was four years ago. I was watching some tv while Jill was reading when we heard a knock. I looked at her confused

"You expecting anyone Jill?" I ask muting the tv
"No" she replied taking off her glasses and setting her book down

We gave each other a funny look and both walked up to see who it was. As soon as I opened it I couldn't believe my eyes. It was Rachel, Rachel with a little girl sucking her thumb and holding a teddy bear. I looked at the little girl than back at Rachel, Rachel looked like she had been crying for days and she had two suit cases with her.

"Hey mom, hey aunt Jill" she said barely holding it together

This Rachel looked so different from the last. She had her hair ombré style and she had this new level of maturity with a ring in her wedding finger. What the hell did I miss?

"Can we stay with you?" She asked
