Ch. 12- Best Friends are FOREVER

Yesha left to the Mall already. Mom was okay with it. Stephanie's Mom, Jenna took her daughter, Yesha, and obviously herself. Mom and Jenna were really close friends because they used to go to College together. Mom decided to also go to the Mall. I told her I might go out, just in case my friends were willing to come along and forgive me, but I doubt that.

Ding-Dong! The doorbell struck and I felt alarmed. I knew it was them. My heart started beating rapidly. I was so guilty that I was going to cry. Don't show it, don't show it, don't show the crying. I repeated to myself. 

I had to open the door. It was them. They came in and we went straight upto my room. A moment of silence had struck my room.

"Are you guys mad at me?" I asked. I had to end this guilt I felt. 

"Why should we be mad at you?" Allyssa replied. She was confused. WAIT! Is she joking? Allyssa, Allyssa Kearns, the one who cares about everything, doesn't know why they should be mad at me? Now, I was getting confused. 

"Are you serious? You really don't know?" I asked. Loren replied..."Nope. But we would like to know why we should be mad at you." 

"I ditched you. I ditched you at lunch today." I let my guilt out. I felt a shiver down my spine on my back. 

"Oh right! Ya, about that, it's ok, I mean we know you had a justification for this. Right? And we can't stay mad at you. Tomorrow is YOUR date! Nothing is going to make you sad." Gabby spoke to me. Everyone agreed with her. 

Wow! They really cared about me. I was relieved to hear that. 

"Anyways, we saw you with Brandon. It looked like you were having a good time. We weren't gonna interrupt you." Loren said.

"Thank you guys, but I'm curious, what did you want to tell me in the bathroom?" I asked. I was actually curious. 

They all looked at each other. Then back at me. 

"1...2...3..." Allyssa whispered to Loren, and Gabby. I could still here her. But I was pretending like I couldn't. 

"SURPRISE!!!!" They all yelled. They jumped off of my bed, on their feet, and held out 5 strips of papers right in front of my face. Ally had 2, Gabby had 2, and Loren had 1. 

"What is this?" I asked while collecting what was in each of their hands.

"Just a little something!" Gabby rocked back and forth. Her hands were in the back pockets of her cute, boot-cut jeans.

I read it carefully. Those 5 strips of paper were 5 reservation tickets to the fanciest restaurant in town: "La cena de lujo." Which is translated to Spanish saying: "The Fancy Dinner." It was dated to be on a Saturday....TOMORROW!

I was sooo excited that I actually jumped to my feet.

"That place costs a fortune. How were you able to get these tickets? And who is it for?" I asked all of these questions because I was super frantic and I was really peculiar about this.

"For you, silly!" Gabby exclaimed. I was confused. Why would they do this for me? I forgot... They are the BEST FRIENDS ever!

"And we sorta.... Put our money together from our  bank and got  the reservations for you, and Brandon." Ally called out.

"B-bbbb-But? WHY? Why would you do this for me? And there are 5 tickets, not 2!" I directly said.

"Calm down with the questions!" Loren said while gesturing me to lower the questions.

"The 5 tickets are for all of us! That way, you won't feel bad that we payed and we can still have fun with you while we get to know you and Brandon a little more." Gabby replied to me.

"You guys.... YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST!!!!!!" I shouted! I was super happy that tears of joy came streaming down my cheeks. 

They all made the same position knowing I would lean in for a BIG HUG. And they were right! 

Best Friends really are FOREVER! Huh? 

"Time to go SHOPPING!" They all screamed in my ear.

Well, I wasn't going to argue with that! :)
