Ch. 7- Outsmarting a Teacher

I was in class. The clock behind me was ticking rapidly. I could here it go tick, tock, tick, tock without a sudden thought. U.S. Geography was boring. I wished the clock would've gone faster, and faster. But, it felt like everything was going slower, and slower as if the Universe didn't want me to go shopping tonight. As if the Universe didn't want me to on that date with Brandon. I tried to remind my self that school is much more important than a date with a lord of beauty sent down from this world with the most adorable dimples! "School comes first." I kept repeating over and over. 

I guess the Geography teacher, Mr. James, heard me say it. So, he wanted me to stand in front of the class and talk about how "The Colorado River, was introduced to the Sea."

This subject was boring, but easy. I think with all those words coming out of my mouth, I outsmarted him. He interrupted me and told me to take a seat. Allyssa and Loren winked at me and mouthed me a sentence that I could identify.

Allyssa mouthed to me saying "Guuuuurl, you be outsmarting teachers now!" 

Loren also mouthed me saying "When did you learn about this stuff...?" 

I felt shocked and poud of myself and then the bell rang. It woke me up from my day dreams of my "boyfriend". 

Just as I was about to walk out of the classroom, Mr. James called me over and Ally gestured me a signal telling me to meet her, Loren, and Gabby in the bathroom afterwards. It's because it was going to be lunch right now.

"Take a seat dear." He said to me and gestured me to sit down.

"You are a very smart girl, Mrs. Parikh. I am very terribly sorry if I embarrassed you somehow." He said to me.

"Not at all, Mr. James... I actually felt proud of saying that to our class." I said feeling a little happy because he cared for me that much.

"For your helping of the class, I will higher your average in ONLY this class by 2 points. Now for sure, you will get an honor roll this semester. You did a good job." He exclaimed while nodding his head.

"Thank you sooo much, Mr. James, I promise I won't let you down, I appreciate it!" I replied to him.

"You deserve it!" Mr. James said. I smiled as I grabbed my books to leave the classroom. Time to head to the Bathroom!
