Anything Could Happen

Ch. 26- Oh Crap... AGAIN

"Crap!" I mumbled. 

I guess Brandon heard me because after my expression... he figured it out and whispered "What's wrong?"

I ignored that because I was now facing a person with the strongest power ever! My mom!!!!!!!

I moved my head away from his as he saw my mom in her black van with Loren and Gabby coming just around the corner.

I glanced over at everyone's facial expressions.... Yup! I was right!! They all did have their jaws dropped down to my sidewalk! Yikes! Wait... I had then noticed my mom's.... SHE DIDN'T HAVE ONE! I'M GUESSING SHE DIDN'T SEE ANYTHING!!!! ACT NATURAL!!! HE'S JUST A FRIEND.... RIGHT!!!!??

"Umm.... Hi mom! What are you doing back so early?" I asked pretending Brandon wasn't even sight. I also ignored the fact Loren and Gabby were watching this. Oh Great! What's next? Brooke brought her camera? Well, I wish she did before.... but now that i think about it... Never mind! Did they all see our little kissing booth? Oh crap! I'm scared...

My mom stopped the car and I saw her pull out her keys from under the steering wheel and then I saw her grab her purse with her keys as well, and watched her step out of the car. I'm guessing she ignored my question because I hadn't gotten an answer yet. I looked over my shoulder to see Loren and Gabby with their mouth's STILL hanging wide open. They don't have to be that over dramatic... Well... I mean... who could blame them? It was my first kiss! HAHA!

Me and Brandon were staring at my mom as we both watched her come toward the middle of me and Brandon.

"Oh! Hello honey...Who's your little friend?" She asked me but stared at Brandon with a confused look on her face. Now I'm starting to get to the fact that she didn't notice my kissing scene... but my girls did........

I didn't have to answer her question because Brandon did. 

"Allow me," Brandon responded with 1 hand in his pockets and the other hand out ready to greet my mother.

"Hello Mrs. Parikh! I'm very delighted to meet you," He continued. Wow! I'm impressed... I've never seen him this... this.... mature! He definitely did wow me and my mother! And she doesn't even let me have a simple conversation with a boy, not to mention the fact that we are "dating"...

He held out his hand, the one he has been preparing for, and so did my mother. I watched them shaking each other's hands vigorously while I was in a shocked face. Am I actually seeing this right now? I pinched myself. Nope... I'm not in a dream! Crap...

My mom was also surprised as I am.

"Oh my! Where are my manners?" My mother questioned him.

"You may call me Kelly!" 

"Oh thank you Kelly!" My mother chuckled at the sound of that.

"And who might you be?" 'Kelly' asked suspiciously.

"I'm sorry! Let me introduce myself! My name is Brandon and I am participating in most of the same classed as you daughter, Keesha! She is splendid! I also have a job as being an assistant veterinarian!" Brandon answered my mom's questions with far more detail. He's an assistant veterinarian? Am I new to this conversation thing? Does my mom actually like Brandon? Crap! This is getting serious.

"Well then, Brandon....Any friend of Keesha's is a friend of mine! You are welcome in my house anytime you like! As a matter of fact, would you like to come in now and stay for lunch?" My mom said enthusiastically while nodding her head in approval. Was she serious? She's letting a boy... a high schooler! Into OUR house!??? Am I as scared as ever!!!!!

My mom walked to the front steps of our house when she heard 'her friend' talking to her.

So.... like a good mother she is, she turned around and listened to him. 

"Oh! I'm sorry... I can't! It's already 11:15! Time to work on my shift," Brandon looked at his clock in between words to make us know that he was running late. It's 11:15 already!!? Now I'm shocked. But I still can't get passed 3 things.

1) Brandon kissed me!!! YAY!

2) He's a veterinarian? AWW! How romantic! 

3) My mom actually likes a boy! Is that supposed to be usual? 

"Maybe another time! Nice meeting you Kelly!" He continued.  Brandon assured her. Wow... did he answer her question or what?

"Oh no problem, Brandon!" My mother called out as she was turning back around while fiddling with her keys.

"Oh, and hello girls!" My mom called out to Loren and Gabby. I didn't think they noticed so I gave them the face since they were starring at me in shock.

Oh! Hello!" I heard them both say in sync as they cleared their throats. 

My mom unlocked the door and finally shuffled inside with a loud 'SLAM!' as the door shut.

Brandon walked backwards to his car, not before giving me a quick kiss on the cheek, leaving me confused and then to top it off, he gave me a wink and then he ran to his car. Wow... I think he really does have to work at his midday shift.

DAMN! Well that went well. I saw him drive off onto the end of my block when I turned my whole body around to find myself looking at Loren and Gabby's 'tell me EVERYTHING' face.

Crap! Here comes another story.... But the other one went well. I guess we are officially a couple!
