Ch. 28- Just A Little Joke

~Just Reached School~

"Thanks, Mom... Love you! Bye." I gave my mom a quick kiss on the cheek before I stained her with my strawberry scented lip-gloss. 

I grabbed my bag from under the seat and then I unlocked the car door as I opened it wide and slumped it on my shoulder. I hate Mondays!

I stepped out of the car and shut the car door. 

"Bye hon!" I heard my mom calling as I was rushing up the school's front steps. 

As soon as I reached my school doors, I slowly walked through my school's hallway with chitter-chatter buzzing around my ear. 

Everywhere I looked or turned, people were holding books and laughing at me. I wasn't sure if it was me or... something else.

My face was turning a rose red... but I tried not to look embarrassed. I panicked and I didn't know what to do.

As I turned my head to see to whether or not to turn myself around the corner to head to the nearest bathroom in the last door way, or just keep pacing straight up the long distant hallway until I reached the library doors.

I made my decision by gliding straight. But as soon as I did that, someone grabbed my elbow and made me turn by the corner as it was my second choice.

I was pushed into the bathroom by Loren, Gabby, and.... ALLYSSA?

"Uh...." I hesitated wanting to know why I was shoved and pulled in here.

"Oh... Yeah!" Gabby exclaimed and shoved Loren with her elbow.

"Ok.." Loren took a deep breath and continued.

"I have gathered you all here today-"

"Uh..... Um... Errr..." Allyssa cleared her throat.

"Why are you doing this again?"

"Be patient and listen." Gabby instructed. So... Allyssa did just that.

"As I was saying, I have gathered you all here today to discuss Allyssa Katherine Kearns and Keesha Vip Parikh's friendship."

"Oh....." Me and Ally sighed as we both rolled our eyes.

It was actually convenient that  no one else was here but us 4.

Gabby cleared her throat for us to stop with the noise. You gotta love her!

"This friendship will be mended as 2 hearts will find a way to beat together in this moment of time." Loren softly spoke while putting her hand on her heart and pretending to fake cry as me and Ally had a "What the hell did she just say" look on our confused faces.

"Umm... Can we do this... Err... Later? 'Cause.." I cleared my throat. "I've got this.. umm... thing...... Like... right now..." I grabbed my bag off the sink's table and started walking over to the exit as I was held by Loren and Gabby as they both spoke at the same EXACT time simultaneously. I was actually shocked at what they spoke. I was cracking up a little as I was told to go back to where I was in the first place.

"No... No....No... Not in my BATHROOM!" They both wagged their fingers in front of my face with a burst of laughing coming out of their mouths. As we all didn't even notice, Allyssa started texting all of a sudden.

I had to say something.

"Hey! Kearns... Put your freaking phone away... Ya should at least be having fun!" I practically screamed. I thought she knew it was a joke... At least before what I heard Ally say.

"You are NOT my mother.. and for a fact... you are NOT going to controll me... Got it?" 

"Hey.. Calm down!" Gabby called out. 

"Everyone just chill..." Loren butted in.

I nodded.

"How about you chill, Keesha? I don't need to have fun when I'm around you." Allyssa yelled.

Woah! This just got serious. She's not in the mood lately. I could tell by the attitude her mother gave her. Ohhh! BURRRNNNNN! I should've said that... :( 

Everyone and everything got quiet. SO QUIET, you could even hear a pin drop.

"Ally... It was just a little joke." I mumbled. 

She jumped off the radiator and grabbed her bag while she was still on her phone texting. She walked out of the bathroom and slammed the door. Guess she was pissed off.

Just as the door was about to finally shut, she walked back in and threw a newspaper on the blue floor.

"Isn't this a little joke... Keesha?" 

After she said that, she ran back out. What is that? 

I ran to the newspaper and bend down on my knees before Loren or Gabby could get there.

I picked it up and I literally shouted. 

"WTF!? What the hell is it? Where did the SCHOOL NEWSPAPER get this from?????? OMFG..." I shouted as my veins were starting to poke out of my forehead.

Gabby made a huge gasp... as Loren had the same reaction.

The newspaper was filled with pictures of me in my bedroom singing with my hairbrush with my PJ's and a picture of Brandon having our moment. Also... a picture of my mom talking to Brandon.

"Who the hell could have done this?" Loren asked all curious like.

"That's what I was thinking." Gabby answered.

"Mackenzie and Brooke..." I muttered to myself as I got up and shoved the newspaper in my bag. I didn't know what to do or where to go because wherever I will go... People will be making fun of me.

I jogged out of the bathroom before I heard Loren and Gabby call my name. That's when the door shut.

Oh.. It was a joke alright. It definitely was........
