Warrior cats "The Stranger"

Chapter 2

I batted the mossball away. We where playing mossball, again, it had been two moons since the "accident," but now I seemed to be doing pretty good.

I had hit it already four times now. And next time I was planning to grab, and throw it.

"Echokit!" Flamekit called and threw the ball to me.

I snagged it in my claws.
Suddenly I didn't know what I was doing anymore.

Who will I throw it to? How will know?

Suddenly Moonstar hollered from highrock, "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey please gather beneath highrock for a clan meeting."

Soon cats where gathered all around the highrock.

Owlkit's P.O.V.

I led Echokit back to the nursery and peeped my head out. Same as my mother and the other kits, even Echokit.

"What's going on?" She whispered to me.

I looked around, then noticed that Quietfeather was washing her kits, Dewkit, Jaykit, and Stonekit, so they shined.

I turned to Echokit, "I think it's Dewkit's, Jaykit's, and Stonekit's apprentice ceremony. They're getting all washed up."

After a few seconds, she whispered again,
"What's happening now?"

I looked back at the kits.

Jaykit and Stonekit could barely hold in their energy, while Dewkit just sat calmly.

"Jaykit and Stonekit look excited, Dewkit is just calm."

Echokit nodded her head, probably imagining everything I was telling her.

Soon the three kits rushed to the highrock. Slowing down when their mother scolded them.

I didn't tell Echokit what was going on because sometimes she already knew, if she didn't, she would usually just ask.

"Today is a great day in the clan. These three kits have reached their sixth moon and are ready to become apprentices" Moonstar announced to the crowd.

She turned her head to the three anxiously waiting kits, "Dewkit please step forward"

The large kit stepped forward and waited patiently.
"Dewkit, until you receive your warrior name, you will be called Dewpaw. Blacksky, you are mostly known for your patience and clever battle skills, please pass these traits on to Dewpaw."

Dewpaw calmly touched noses with his mentor and they say down in the crowd.

"Jaykit" the grey kit stepped forward with excitement, yet he tried to be calm like his brother.

"Jaykit, until you you receive your warrior name, you will be called Jaypaw. Ravenclaw, I have decided that it is time you had another apprentice. You are well known for your skills in battle and hunting, please pass these traits on to Jaypaw."

Jaypaw excitedly touched noses with his new mentor and they went to sit in the crowd.

"Stonekit." The dark grey kit excitedly stepped forward, he seemed like he wanted to jump at any second.

"Stonekit, until you receive your warrior name, you will be called Stonepaw. Fernshade, you are well known for your intelligence and patience in hunting, and it is about time you had your own apprentice, please teach Stonepaw everything you know."

They touched noses and sat in the crowd.

"Dewpaw! Jaypaw! Stonepaw!" The clan cheered.

"This ceremony is over" Moonstar leaped down from the rocks and started speaking to some senior warriors.

The cheers died down and cats gathered around the three apprentices, congratulating them.

Flamekit raced up to the three new apprentices, with Leopardkit ahead of him.

"Come on, let's go congratulate them." I meowed to Echokit.

"Don't go with them to see the territory" Dawncloud called to us as
they trotted towards the apprentices, me leading Echokit with my tail.

"We won't!" I called back.
Then we picked up their pace.

Jaypaw's P.O.V.(didn't expect it, did yah)

Flamekit and Leopardkit raced up to me and my brothers.

"Congratulations!!!!" Leopardkit purred.

"I'm so jealous!" Flamekit jumped up and down.

"I can't wait to become an apprentice!!!!" Leopardkit meowed excitedly.

Then Owlkit trotted up with a spotted she-kit at his tail.

I had seen this kit before, but she never talked to me.

I quietly meowed in amusement as I remembered seeing her being hit by a mossball and seeing it shatter to pieces.

"Congratulations!" Owlkit purred once he came up.

The tiny she-kit just stared at her paws.

Owlkit nudged her.

"Congratulations" she murmured and looked away.

"She's shy" Firekit meowed, staring at her.

"Yeah, we noticed" Stonepaw meowed without a care.

Dewpaw kicked him in the side and Stonepaw hissed at him.

"Alright who wants to go see the territory?" Fernshade meowed, slightly in amusement.

"We do!" Stonepaw and I meowed excitedly, Dewpaw just widened his eyes in excitement and stood up calmly, like usual.
