"Guys wait!" I shouted while running down the hall after Morgan and Anthony. I followed them outside to the school lawn. "Guys," I said again. They stopped walking. Before I could take a step towards them Hazel grabbed my shirt, "What are you going to say? How are you planning to explain what happened back there?" "I honestly have no idea, but I've got to say something." I replied and walked over to them.
"Look, I," I tried to say. "No. Just stop ok? All you're going to do is come up with an excuse, never the truth." Morgan harshly spat out. Anthony looked at me, "What was that back there? What the hell did you do to Brandon?" I stood there quietly. "What is going on with you man?" I shook my head, "It's hard to explain. You wouldn't understand." "Of course not." Morgan said angrily and turned away. Anthony furrowed his brow, "Let's go Morgan."
I kicked the ground and turned to look at Hazel. She put her arms around me and hugged me tightly. "It'll be ok," she whispered. "How? My best friends don't trust me. Why should they?" I sighed, "I need to tell them." Hazel's eyes widened. I grabbed her hand, "I can't keep lying to them."
