So...it is Sunday again, which means UPDATES. I am so happy right now, I just reconnected with a friend, and she and I totally fangirl-ed over Narry. Oh well.
*WARNING*
This chapter and probably the rest of the story, contains a bobxboy relationship. No hating. If you don't like, simply don't read. DON'T BE A HATER. Love is love, gender is merely a small detail.
---------------------------
"You did WHAT dude?" Cal screeched at me, looks of astonishment on both his and Even's faces.
Chad grinned, "No problems here man."
I rolled my eyes, "Don't be a perv Chad."
"I'm not, I'm just not going to be here tomorrow night, so it doesn't matter to me."
"Oh yeah...Why are you going back early again?" I asked.
He rolled his eyes, "Jennifer misses me." He said, speaking of his girlfriend. They had sort of an open relationship. They flirted with others as much as they wanted to, but if they hadn't gotten any better offers, they were together. Personally, I thought it was insecurity issues, but Chad called it, "convenient."
Behind me, Cal and Even were sitting on the bed. At the mention of 'girlfriend' they both gagged. I turned to look at them curiously. They shot each other glances and broke out in giggles...you just never knew with those two...
Whatever... "When are we leaving for dinner?" I asked, addressing the group. "Its Chad's last meal in Florida for a while, so lets go somewhere awesome."
"Burger King!" Cal shrieked sarcastically. Beside him Even pouted playfully.
"But I want a Happy Meal from McDs!"
We all chuckled, but agreed on a nice Mexican down the street. It was close enough so we could just walk. As we walked, Chad started "So...whats up with Brii?"
I shrugged, "Eh, not much." I looked away, because I knew if they saw the blush intruding onto my face, I was done for.
But Cal knew better than to believe that. "Yeah...nothing at all..." He rolled his eyes.
Even chuckled at Cal and moved closer to him. "So," I said, trying to casually change the subject. "Whats going on with you too?" I asked, pointing at Cal and Even.
"Why, nothing at all." Even said, looking at Cal and grinning. Cal nodded in confirmation.
"Yeah, I don't believe that." I smirked. Next to me, Chad grumbled and walked in head of us.
We entered the restaurant, and a pretty girl greeted us and showed us to our table, setting menus down in front of us. She took our drink orders and dissipated.
"What are you thinking?" I asked Chad. He had a smirk on his face and a glint in his eyes.
"Nothing is the matter with me. But, look over there." He said, nodding his head towards the door. Where a family was coming. That family being Brii's family. I reddened. This could NOT be happening!
I hid my head behind my menu, and peeked over the top. Brii scanned the room, catching my eye and smiling. She waved. I started to wave back when I realized she was looking at the table next to mine, where a couple with a son who appeared to be our age, sat. The hostess showed them to their seats, where they joined the other family. Hugs were exchanged and they started talking. I noticed that Brii had ended up next to the boy and they were now talking and laughing.
Cal nudged my elbow, "Jealous much?" He chuckled and I growled under my breath.
Our drinks came and we ordered food, but the fact that Brii was talking to another guy right next to me sort of put a damper on all the fun it would have been.
"Dude, stop staring. It got creepy a long time ago." Chad grunted. I jumped, startled, but he was probably right.
A couple minutes later our food came, and Cal cleared his throat and looked at Even, and they shared a smile. Even tapped his water glass with his fork and Chad and I looked at them.
"We would like to make an announcement." Even started.
"We're gay." Cal grinned and blurted out. Chad, who had been drinking water, spit it out across the table.
"What?!" He screeched. At this point we were attracting a little bit of attention from the people around us.
I shushed them and Cal continued, "I meant, I'm gay."
"Well, I'm bisexual. And we're together." Even said indicating between them. Cal grinned and took his hand, setting it between them on the table.
"So it sort of all works out..." Cal finished, drifting off.
I hadn't noticed that Chad was slowly getting red in the face. "Dude, whats the matter?" I asked him.
"There is no way in hell that my brother is bisexual." He growled, shoving his chair back, causing it to screech against the floor, I'm sure attracting even more attention.
The look on Even's face was sickening. He got really pale before letting go of Cal's hand and looking down in his lap, clearly ashamed of something that he shouldn't be ashamed of.
"Faggot." Chad muttered, throwing a couple bills onto the table and heading to the door. Getting the hostess's number first, I'm sure.
Cal shook his head, "I knew it wouldn't go over well." He muttered. He tried to take Even's hand again, but he yanked it back to his lap. I scooted over to Even and put a hand on his shoulder, trying to be reassuring.
Cal put his arm around Even's waist and pulled him closer as Even broke down, sobbing onto Cal's light blue shirt. "Shhh, its okay baby. He didn't mean it. He was probably just surprised, that's all....its going to be okay baby." Even snuffled a little, but continued to cry nonetheless.
I looked around, feeling a little bit of a third wheel now, listening to Cal talking to Even. I felt bad, I mean, that had to have hurt. His own brother and twin getting upset just because of his sexuality. This was why I hadn't told Chad about my sexuality.
I hadn't known he was such a homophone, and we had never really talked about sexuality's or our opinion. It hurt me to know one of my best friends didn't support my choice., but that was his own fault. I looked over at Brii, and was greeted by her blue eyes. She furrowed her eyebrow in concern and confusion and nodded over to Cal and Even. I shook my head and headed to the bathroom. I couldn't deal with my friends problems and my jealously of Brii at the same time.
So, I feel like that was a really long chapter but I'm pretty sure it wasn't.
And now I'm to lazy to write a authors note.
Oops.
Later,
Lila
