The Search

Something was wrong, I could feel it in my bones. The restless energy that's overtaking my body is not normal. I couldn't sit in my class and walked out in the middle of a very important lesson, according to my professor. Got myself a detention for the nth time for my lack of manners. Honestly speaking I couldn't care less about anything other than finding out everyone who matters to me is safely tucked inside their home. 

I checked on my girlfriend Annika who was peacefully practicing her ballet and I made sure to add two more bodyguards for her. Jeremy and I might not be the best of friends, we are not even friends but we sure agree on one thing and that's her safety. All I had to do was text Jeremy that I want Annika to be watched all the time and two mountain sized Russians reached her class in no time. For sure she is going to be mad at me but I will handle her. I can handle her. 

Next I checked on my parents, both the set of grandparents, and I even sent a text to check up on Lia. So far everyone are safe. That leave the rest of my family and friends in the Island. I rush to the mansion to see the twins and Remi lounging on the couch, a very rare sight since the twins prefer to be with their partners for most of the time. Remi's face lights up on seeing me and I was hugged by him forcibly.  

"Where's my brother?" I ask noticing his absence. 

Landon reaches into his pocket pretending to check and comes up with empty hands. The fucker even pouts at me making a weeping face.  

"Sorry little cousin. I don't have your brother" he says. 

"Bran, have you seen Eli?" I turn to the only sane person. 

"I haven't seen him since last night. Why? What's the problem?" he asks me in concern. 

I don't search for my brother normally, its usually the other way around. He always seeks me out to bond with me, as he likes to call it and I'm the one running away from him. So I understand why Bran is confused and concerned. 

"I couldn't find him anywhere" I say. 

"Why do you want him, spawn? That's not very Creighton of you" Remi says. 

I see Landon giving me the side eye and the other two looking at me expectantly. I can tell them about having a bad intuition but I will never live it down if Eli finds out about me leaving the class and searching for him based on my gut feeling. 

"Creigh, you're worrying me" I didn't notice that Bran has covered the distance between us while I was busy thinking. He stands before me holding me by my shoulders. 

"I didn't have a nice feeling and I just wanted to make sure everyone is safe" I tell him and see surprise replacing concern on Bran's face. 

"Aww how sweet.. I wish the devil was here to see his baby brother caring for him" Lan's voice annoys me to the core. 

"If you don't know where he is, then keep your mouth shut" I tell him. 

"Hmmm guys, I have something to tell" we all turn towards the new voice to see Cecily standing at the door nervously. 

"Did you finally decide to leave Jeremy, can I go and bug him about it?" Lan asks her way too much enthusiastically and the glare she sends back shuts him up. Temporarily. 

"I couldn't reach Ava and you know how she is never away from her phone so Glyn and I were searching for her and found out something. You all should come out and see for yourself" she walks and we follow her to the parking.
