The house was quiet, but not the peaceful kind. It was the stillness of a blade right before it sliced.

Adam sat in that same iron chair bolted to the concrete. We hadn't touched him in a day. Not physically. We didn't need to. The silence was enough. He thought the worst had passed.

That was the fun part. Because now we start to break him. His attempt to bring us down by using Ava was the final straw I didn't knew I had. My blood boils thinking about her vulnerable confessions being released for the world to see.

Family reputation aside, Ava would have had hard time recovering from the damage. My temper flares at the mental image of a fragile Ava blaming herself for her family's downfall or worse her going back to believing herself as Gav.

For that alone Adam Herran will pay more. I will take everything from him until he is left with nothing.

Landon barged into the estate like he owned the place, kicking the door open with his usual flair, Mia trailing behind him with a deadpan stare and a laptop tucked under one arm.

"Got something for you," Landon said, sliding a USB across the table. "You're going to love this and I'm still waiting for you to admit that I'm the best King grandchild".

Dad looked up and Mum didn't even blink. They are used to his antics and as much as I want to gag myself for admitting this, my cousin do manage to make them feel lighter at times. What a clown.

Aunt Silver kept sipping her wine. I picked up the USB and plugged it in.

"You found the file?" I asked.

Landon grinned, spinning a silver pen between his fingers. "Better. I found the therapist. And all her little toys."

"Explain" Dad said suddenly interested in Landon.

"I'm happy to do" Lan comes forward and take control from me.

The screen shows her details.

Celeste Marin. Licensed. Discreet. Clean.

Except for the part where she recorded every session she ever conducted, including her own whispered reflections like some kind of self-absorbed oracle. Her real goldmine wasn't the confession about Ava. It was everything else.

Thugs. Low-level serial killers. Political clients. Rich boys with too many knives and no conscience. She had it all stored. Labeled. Categorized. Idiotically encrypted. Only someone who is on suicide mission would do whatever she did. One leak and it will put her life in line. May be she has no will to live, same as Adam or else she wouldn't risk everything.

"You found everything in less than a day?" Uncle Cole raises his brows at Lan.

"Don't be surprised Uncle. Though I'm fully capable of doing so much more, it was Jeremy Volkov who helped me break through her cloud and encrypted files"

"You took help from Heathens?" I ask him and I could feel Mia drilling holes into my head.

"It was your baby brother's idea, cousin" he smirks at me.

"Jeremy is best at his job and if we are doing something to protect family then it's best to keep it in family. Jeremy is loyal to brotherhood and his family" Mia offers and I know Jeremy did it for his sister. May be little push from Cecily's side.

"Thanks Mia and let Jeremy know we owe him one" Aunt Silver says.

"So what do we do now?" Mum asks looking at the screen.
