HARRY'S POV

I was walking away from her door when I heard a scream coming from inside the house. I ran back and swung the door open reviling what I didn't want to see. There was a man that looked a lot like Erin, maybe her father, holding what looked like a kitchen knife to her throat. But he had brown hair intead of blonde. He had a crazy look in his eye and I could see Erin struggling to escape. "What is going on here?" 

"Harry please leave I don't want you to get hurt," Erin says pleading with me to leave, but I can't leave her like this. 

"Put her down," I say confidently as I approach he father trying to get him away from Erin. 

"And who are you pretty boy?" He asks with a voice that could give children nightmares. 

"I'm her boyfriend Harry Styles and you are?"

"I'm her father Matt Rider. Now you better leave me and Erin here have some unfinshed buisness to attend to," He takes her by the arm again and begins to lower the knife dangerously close to her arm. I run up to him and pull the knife out of his hand and pointing it towards him. "I said put her down." He puts her down and advances towards me. At least I got him away from Erin.

"NOOO! Dad please don't hurt him." I hear Erin screaming from the other side of the room. I was now dangerously close to the wall and Matt was way to close for comfort. He grabs the knife from my hand and was just about to cut me with it when the door got kicked open. 

"Police, put your hands up sir," The policeman says pointing a gun towards Mr. Rider. "Your neighbors called us when they heard the screaming. Officer Marley take this man into the car and get the paramedics to come in and check out the girl and this young man," 

"Thank you officer I thought he was going to kill me," I say as I shake the officers hand. 

"Excuse me but you look oddly familiar," The man comments as he studies me trying to figure out where I'm from.

"I'm in the band One Direction."

"Ahh yes, My daughter Emily has pictures of you and your band all over her room."

"She has a good taste in music," I say jokingly before walking over to where the paramedics were starting to check Erin for injuries. 

"Sorry you had to see that Harry, and thanks for saving me it means a lot," She says as she gives me a weak smile, but I can see the pain behind her eyes. There must be a history maybe he abused her or her mom and they moved to escape. I want to know but I won't press her any further considering the circumstances.

"Anything for you," I say as I give her a hug and a small kiss on the lips after the paramedics have finished checking here. "Are you ok?"

"I don't know," She says honestly looking into my eyes. "I should have known this would happen but I was hoping and praying that he wouldn't. He hurt my mother too."

"What?" I ask in complete shock.

"That's why I was visiting the hospital. She had to go there after he stabbed her," I could see the tears starting to form in her eyes, and the pain in her voice was evident. I just help her close as she began to cry softly. "He wasn't always like this," She said as she looked into my eyes with her sad brown eyes. 

"He wasn't?" I ask as I wipe a tear from her eyes. By this time the police and paramedics had cleared out so it was just us.

"He used to be the best dad ever. We would play catch together and he was even one of those dads that would have tea parties with me. I guess one day he just cracked and he started to do drugs and drink, and he became a totally different person. When I was about 8 we couldn't take it anymore so we decided to run away. One day we just packed up and left while he was gone so he wouldn't know where to find us. Now he has found us and at least he is going to jail now." 

After she finishes her story she just losses it and begins to sob remembering all of the painful thoughts these memories bring. "Thanks for telling me, if you ever need to talk I'm here for you always."

"Thanks Harry, don't you have a CD signing?" She says smiling ever so slightly as she gives me a light kiss on the lips. 

"I can't leave you alone, not after what just happened."

"Well I was wondering if you could drop me off at the hopital on the way I need to see my mom."

"Ok babe whatever you want." We hop in the car and drive to the hospital in silence. I just hold her hand to let her know that I'm here for her. I haven't known this girl for long but I know that I want to spend the rest of my life with her and I never want her to leave. I want her to be mine forever.
