The Reckoning

The grand hall of Mingyu's mansion was dimly lit, the heavy air crackling with tension. Mingyu stood at the head of the long, polished table, his sharp suit disheveled and his tie undone, as if he'd barely managed to contain his rage long enough to convene this meeting.

His broad shoulders were rigid, and his jaw clenched as his piercing gaze swept over the men seated before him his most trusted allies, his inner circle.

Mingyu's hands gripped the edge of the long table as he stared down at the documents spread before him maps, blueprints, and detailed reports of Alexander's sprawling empire.

Alara's recent revelations about her father had lit a fire in him, but hearing about the way Alexander had treated his own daughter? That pushed Mingyu over the edge.

Finally, he spoke, his voice low and lethal. "We're not waiting any longer. Alexander dies."

The air seemed to still as the weight of his words settled on the room.

Seungkwan leaned forward, his face pale but resolute. "What's the plan, hyung? Where do we start?"

Mingyu's dark eyes flicked to Seungkwan, sharp and unyielding. " It's already started. We just need to finish."

He straightened, his towering frame commanding the room. "I've spent years waiting, planning, gathering every scrap of information on Alexander's operations. I know where his power lies his ports, his warehouses, his key men. We're hitting all of it. Tonight."

Joshua's eyebrows rose slightly, though his tone remained calm. "Hitting everything at once is risky, Mingyu. You're planning to dismantle his entire network in one night?"

Mingyu turned to Joshua, his jaw tight and his gaze unwavering. "Risky? No. Calculated. Alexander built his empire on fear and domination. We take that away, and he's nothing. This isn't about strategy anymore it's about sending a message."

Seungcheol nodded, his expression grim. "What's the target list?"

Mingyu gestured to the table, his voice clipped and precise. "His largest warehouse in the north burn it. His shipping docks sink his cargo. His primary financiers remind them who they're dealing with. By the time the sun rises, Alexander won't have a single resource left."

Seungkwan, always the cautious one, hesitated. "And Alara? She's still... his daughter. She's going to feel this, Mingyu. Are you sure this is what she wants?"
