Golden lamplight

A Month Later

The world had finally turned its back on Alexander Whitfield. The courtroom had rung with the damning evidence: not just for the murder of Jinwoo Kim, but also the unspeakable torment and eventual death of Alara's mother, Anahit Saroyan, a once-graceful Armenian dance teacher whose life Alexander had turned into a nightmare.

"Secrets Exposed: Domestic Violence and Murder Behind the Whitfield Empire."

Justice had been served, but its ripples left the world eerily quiet, especially in Mingyu's estate.

Mingyu's lips trailed from her collarbone to her neck, his kisses slow and deliberate, leaving a heated path in their wake.

His teeth grazed her skin lightly before his mouth latched onto the curve of her neck, sucking gently but firmly. A soft gasp escaped her lips, her hands gripping his broad shoulders as her body arched into his.

"Mine," he murmured against her neck, his voice rough and possessive, the single word carrying a weight that sent shivers through her.
