Earl Patrick's P.O.V

"Brianna? What are you doing here?" I asked. Kumunot ang noo ko, what the hell does she want? Medyo mainit ang ulo ko sa kanya dahil naalala ko yung sinabi sa akin ni Nathalie.

But, I calmed down. She's a girl, hindi ko siya pwedeng patulan.

"Earl! I'm so glad to see you!" Then she hugged me, napatingin naman ako kay Nathalie, and I saw her looking down. Tinulak ko si Brianna palayo sa akin at dumistansya ako at lumapit kay Nathalie. Ayaw kong makitang nasasaktan ang taong mahal ko kaya ko iyon ginawa. Alam ko kasing selosa itong girlfriend ko ei.

Nakita ko namang kumunot ang noo ni Brianna ng mapatingin siya sa amin ni Nathalie, lalo na nung hinapit ko sa bewang si Nathalie. I took a quick glance of Nathalie, and she immediately blushed. I smiled.

"What is going on here?" Agad naman akong sumeryoso tsaka nilipat ang tingin ko kay Brianna. Then she raised one eyebrow at me and eyed my hands in Nathalie's waist.

"Nothing particular, yeah.. Brianna I suppose you met my girlfriend, Nathalie." I said sharply and I saw how her expression on her face change. She suddenly became more cautious at some point like there is something she didn't tell me about. Bingo. I got you now.

"Wh-what? Akala ko hiwalay na kayo--- I mean, w-what about us?" Nauutal niyang sabi and was I seeing things or does she look-like she's on a verge of crying?

I shook my head. Wait is she serious? "There's no us, Brianna. What we have the both of us is a mere set up. There was never an us." I said. Which was true, if she assume my kindness towards her that it is all because I liked her, is no! I like her as a friend, because she help me forget all the pain even if it's just one day.

I looked at her and she was crying, I felt really bad. I know that she likes me, not just a friend but like as in like. I can already see it in her face. But I can't return the same feelings to her, I only love someone else. I only held Nathalie tightly who is watching quietly. I soon pulled back my hands from her.

"Go inside, Nathalie. I'm just gonna talk with Brianna." I told her and she gladly obliges it. I gave her a smile before she went inside. Now me and Brianna is left here.

"Look, Brianna. I know you sort of develop some feelings towards me..." lumapit ako kay Brianna. "But listen, I appreciate it.... but I'm sor---"

"Stop it! You don't understand how I feel! It's not some feelings, Earl! I know I get it, I know I made a mistake in the past for the two of us.... but I didn't intend to leave you! I just want you back, that's all!" She blurted out. I twitched my eyebrow.

Pero at that moment, biglang sumakit ang ulo ko ng hindi ko malaman kong bakit. And I felt weird..

Anong ibig niyang sabihin? "Look, I'm feeling sympathy towards you. But have you lost your mind, woman? We never met in the past!" I exclaimed.
