3rd Person's P.O.V

Hila-hila lang ni Patrick si Nathalie palabas nang kanilang bahay, walang nagawa ang dalaga kundi nagpahila na lamang. Nang makarating sila sa kotse, tsaka lang doon binitiwan ni Patrick si Nathalie at hinampas ang pintuan ng kotse.

"Damn!" He cussed and leaned his back on the car.

Hindi umimik si Nathalie, tumayo lang siya sa tapat ni Patrick at tahimik na pinagmasdan ang binata.

"I didn't mean to hurt her. She's still my mother after all. But if this is the way I can have my own freedom then so be it. I just can't let her control my life again. Plus she insulted you, and that was the line. I don't like seeing you getting hurt, Nathalie. Even if she's my mother." He said and looked at Nathalie with a very sad look.

Hindi nakayanan ni Nathalie ang mga tingin ni Patrick na nakakalungkot at agad na niyakap si Patrick. She buried her face in Patrick's chest and hugged him tight.

"Stupid, don't make that sad look. But... She's still your mother, Patrick. But I know that you didn't mean to say those kind of words to her. I know you're not that kind of person, Patrick." She cried and hugged Patrick even tighter.

Nabigla si Patrick sa sinabi ng dalaga at naiyak na lang. He hugged Nathalie, too and carress her hair.

"You're both important to me. I love you both, but you know that I need to pick one." He said thru his tears. Nathalie then pushed him and Patrick looked at Nathalie with a question mark written on his face.

"Alam kong wala ako sa posisyon upang sabihin sa'yo ito, but I will still say it. You know, you don't need to pick one, Patrick! What you should've do is to pick both. You didn't need to pick either one of us so no one will suffer. You didn't have to make a choice, you just need to at least try to be selfish just at once." Sabi nito.

Hindi nakapagsalita si Patrick, bagkus tinitigan lang nito si Nathalie. But like a gun shot him straight, he realize the girl was right.

"I know that you still care for your Mother, Patrick. And same goes to her. I know she didn't meant to hurt you, because I saw it in her eyes that she regretted for hurting you back there." She continued and her voice softened like Patrick's expression.

Lumapit and dalaga sa nobyo at unti-unting ikinawit ang mga kamay nito sa leeg ni Patrick, and she rested her head in Patrick's chest.

Patrick knew that she was right, He didn't mean to say those hurtful words to his mother, he was probably been blind by the anger inside of him that he kept for years, the longing for a parent's love that was not given to him when he was a child. Angered enveloped him there because his angry at his mother for not treating him with love and care, ago. Now, that he finally said it out loud he felt guilty because he knew he went too far.
