chapter eight // thank you

i could feel his warmth through my body. never in my life did i think i would ever be this close to joe sugg.

our lips were moving closer. then the door bursts open. "HA HA!" caught you" caspar yells while walking in. "caspar mate, what's your problem?" joe snapped. "nothing i was just checking on you" caspar laughed. "it's not funny, im not 12 caspar" joe spat. "mate it was just an accident, calm down" caspar yelled in a serious tone. joe took my hand and lead me out of his bedroom.

wow ive never seen joe and caspar argue before. life really is different off camera.

"i'm so sorry, caspar is being a dick" joe cursed. "i think the girls have left if that makes you feel any better?" he continued. i smiled. i seriously didn't know what to say after what joe was about to do. i wonder what the kiss would of been like. i'm not a very good kisser but i bet joe is. was he even going to kiss me? i'm overreacting.

"elley?" joe asked snapping me out of my daze. "err.. sorry.. yeah sure" i stuttered.

he brought me back up to his living room. a few people had left. i really wanted to talk to some other youtubers but i was too shy. "joe" i start. "yeah? he smiles. "don't laugh at me when i say this but i'm kind of a youtube addict and i look up to more or less everyone in this room, it feels really strange." i say feeling slightly embarrassed. "that's really cute" he replies. i blush. "come with me" he says taking my hand again. what is he doing. "zoe! this is elley" he starts. i feel like the shyest person on the planet right now. "she loves your videos" he smiles looking at me. "aw nice to meet you elley!" zoe says while hugging me. "so you've finally got yourself a girlfriend?" zoe laughs while nudging her brother. "no zoe" joe says going red in the face. i go red too. "oh right" zoe teased. "i remember you!" a familiar voice says. i turn around to see the alfie deyes. "we met you last week, right?" alfie asks. "oh.. erm yeah!" i stutter. "yeah that's where i met elley and her friends" joe smiles.

speaking of my friends. where were they. i glance over my shoulder and see amy and emma still talking to dan and phil. dan had his arm around emma. aw. i swear if they're dating she's going to freak the fuck out when we get home.

"so do you have a youtube?" alfie asks. "no i don't actually, i'm way too shy to make one" i laugh feeling embarrassed. "joe was the same but look where he is now!" zoe smiles. "no, i couldn't, no way" i reply.

i look at my watch. 10pm. wow. this night has gone fast. "guys thank you so much! i loved meeting you again" i smiled. "but i better be going now". "our pleasure lovely" zoe says while pulling me in for a hug. i hug alfie too and make my way to emma and amy. "guys! come on, it's 10pm" i yell making phil almost jump out of his skin. i laugh to myself. i see emma kiss dan on the cheek as her and amy walk over to me. "let's go" amy sighs. we walk over to the door as joe follows us.

"elley" joe says as i'm about to leave. "yeah?" i say playing with my hair. "thank you" he smiles. "for what?" i ask. "for tonight. you made it so much better" he says. i smile. "well thank you for helping me with my panic attack and introducing me to your sister and friends" i gulped nervously. "no problem, i hope you get home safely" he smiles. "thank you". at this point i was debating on whether to kiss him on the cheek or not. i choose not too as its way to obvious. "bye joe" i say whilst walking over to amy and emma. "bye my love" he waves.

i stumble over to amy and emma who are calling a taxi. i start to think about the night. was i being stupid all this time? he was saying such nice things to me and being so lovely. did he like me or does he do this to a lot of girls. was i just another one of them girls that he made feel special then just pushed them away?

"ELLEY IM DATING DAN!!!" emma screams. "oh my god emma i'm so happy for you!!!!!" i smile hugging her.

as if one of my best friends is now dating a famous youtuber when just last week we were all fangirling over them. it seemed so surreal. "what about you and phil?" i smirked while nudging amy. "he won't ask me out" amy sighs. "he obviously likes you" i smile. "not as obvious as joe with you!" she yells. "don't be stupid" i sigh. "have you seen the way he looks at you? it's like the way caspar looks at pizza" emma states. i laugh. "we did almost kissed...kind of" i grit my teeth. "WHAT" emma yells. "he was drunk though, he didn't mean it" i say. "you're fooling yourself elley, it's quite obvious that he likes you" amy nudges me. just as she does that, the taxi pulls up.

we all get in. "where do you girls want to go?" the same man as before asks. "{insert elley's address} again please" i reply.

the drive home just consisted of amy and emma talking about their experience with dan and phil.

i pay the taxi man for the drive to joe's apartment and the drive home.

me, amy and emma walk back into my house quietly as my family are asleep. they grab their things and mouth the word "goodbye" as they leave.

i walk back into my room and put my hair up into a bun. i then get changed and take off my make up. i get into bed and look at the time. 11:03pm. wow. tonight was amazing though. joe seriously made me the happiest girl on the planet. as cheesy as it sound.

i lie in bed and think about the night. all the things joe said to me. the "kiss" and how it would of felt. i replay everything over in my head and then i drift off to sleep.
