chapter thirteen // second video

it was the next day and i was doing my hair when i got a phone call.

it was from joe.

i turned off my straighteners quickly and pressed answer.

elley: hello?

joe: hi elley!

elley: hi joe, how are you?

joe: im good. how are you?

elley: im good thanks!

joe: so i need to ask you something.

elley: ...yeah?

joe: well because it's my birthday in 3 days, i'm having a party on the 8th at my appartment, do you want to come?

elley: of course!

joe: great! it starts at 8pm

elley: okay, i'll be there!

joe: good good

elley: thank you, bye joe!

joe: no problem, goodbye!

then i hang up.

god, this boy and parties! i guess it'll be okay, right?

i had 3 days to prepare until the party. i needed to buy joe something first.

i finish straightening my hair and i put my make up on. today i'm wearing black high waited shorts, a white and black stripy crop top and all black converse.

i grab my bag and phone and leave the house. i get into my car and start the engine. it takes 5 minutes until i'm there. i park my car in a good spot then get out.

what do i get him? i decide to go into the card shop first to get him a birthday card. i pick a simple blue one then i pay. next i go into thorntons and buy a box of chocolates. finally i go into (a/n: let's pretend i could actually think of a shop name but i can't bc it's 2am and my brain isn't processing ok bye) and get him a pack of beer. this should do as i get so stuck buying gifts plus ive not really been friends with him for that long so hopefully he doesn't expect a sports car.

i decide to go into subway on my way back. i get 6 inch turkey hearty italian bread with lettuce and cucumbers (a/n: if you go to subway comment what you get bc i'm curious and ive been getting the same thing for years) i eat it as i walk back to my car.

when i get back, i drive home.

when i arrive home, i get out of my car and walk into my house and up into my room.

i should probably film another youtube video so i can upload it whenever.

i decide to film a q&a as they're so easy to do. i go onto my twitter and tweet:

i'm going to film a q&a today! tweet me your questions to #askelley 😄

after that, i decide to fix my appearance.

i curl my hair lightly and apply a little more make up.

i set up my old camera on top of a pile of at least 60 books. i set myself in front of it and grab my phone. i turn on the camera.

the same rush of anxiety hits me like last time.

"hi everyone! so today i'm going to be filming a q&a"

"i asked you guys on twitter to send me questions and i'm going to answer them"

"let's go!"

i grab my phone and scroll through the hashtag, a lot of the questions were the same one. i'll get to that one at the end.
