Chapter 10

The next day came faster than I wanted it to, i looked at the clock on the wall it read 1:54PM

8 hours of sleep should get me home by the morning. I just needed to be with people who i knew really loved me.

I grabbed all my stuff and put it into my truck and drove around front to give them my key.

"Sorry for the late check out" I said as I handed the key to the older man at the desk

"Its no problem my daughter told me that you'd be checking out late" He said as he smiled at me, he seemed like he knew who I was but he didn't say anything.

"Tell her I said thanks" I smiled as I walked out of the motel office and got into my truck and took off driving.

For the next 8 hours it seemed like no matter what station i played it was all Florida Georgia Line, which made me think about what Tyler and I could be, or could have been.

I finally made it into Texas, i was so tired i was falling asleep at the wheel, i again pulled over and got a motel. For some reason i couldn't drive the whole way this time, i usually only stop for the bathroom and snacks. But stopping twice for sleep was weird, maybe it was just too much stress.

It was nearing 11 when i pulled up to Tylers house, the porch light was on, but the other lights were off except the living room light. I assumed he was just watching movies he was such a nerd like that, probably with his hair pulled back and his glasses on.

Tyler's POV

I was watching movies in the livingroom when I heard a truck outside, i didn't really think anything of it. I was probably hearing things. I continued watching my movie when I heard the doorbell ring, maybe i wasn't hearing things.

I hit pause on the remote and walked over to the door. I didn't check to see who it was, i almost never do. I pulled open the door to see Sophie standing there crying with a black eye.

"Baby come on in" I said to her, and she ran into my arms.

"Youve got a shoulder anytime it all goes bad, when you're about to break, when you're mad as hell" I almost sang to her as i walked with her to the kitchen.

"What did he do this time?" I asked as I picked her up and put her on the counter to get a better look at her face. She started to talk then she broke down again, i pulled her into a hug again and didn't let go.

"Let me take his wrong and make it right this time, baby you can take it out on me" i whispered into her ear, kissing her cheek.

"Tyler...." She spoke softly "Yeah, baby girl?" I looked into her eyes

"I.....I love you" She said wrapping her arms around my waist, before I could reply she was pulling me in for a kiss.

After she broke the kiss I could see a light in her eyes, like she wasn't scared anymore. For once happy, I was happy that it was me making her happy.

"Oh baby girl, I've been waiting so long to hear that " I cupped her face with my hands and placed one long kiss on her lips.

"I love you too" I said as we pulled apart. I gently moved my thumb over her eye where I could visibly see was bruised, She winced in pain.

"Do you have any jack and ice cream?" She looked up at me

"Yes Ma'am I do" I said walking over to the freezer and pulling both items she asked for out.

"You know Mr.Hubbard you're a hard man to resist with your hair up like that and those glasses" she looked at me up and down like I was a piece of meat.

"Hard man, yes I am darlin " I saw her begin to blush when she figured out what I was talking about. I picked her up off the counter and walked with her in my arms towards the couch,

"No not here" she said as I was about to place her on the couch

"Then where? " I questioned her with a confused look across my face

"Your room" she smiled at me with a devilish look in her eyes.

I started walking up the stairs into my bedroom, I got to the doorway when she pulled me in for another long kiss. I ran my tongue across her bottom lip she opened her mouth with a smile allowing me to enter.

I walked over to the bed with her still wrapped around me, I laid her down at the foot of the bed. She didn't remove her grip from around me, she just pulled me in closer.

After a small intense make out session, she began giggling.

"What's so funny?" Her laugh was contagious, I haven't seen her smile this way in so long. Its such a shame that she had to go through everything he put her through, she was a queen and deserved to be treated like one and that's what I planned on doing.

She looked down at my pants, I knew what she was giggling about when she looked down.

"Get over here and take care of your girl's needs" she demanded me with another devilish smile. I caught the 'your girl' part, but I didn't say anything I just smiled moving us further onto the bed.

She began to pull my shorts off as I removed her jeans. I got so distracted looking at her body I didn't even realize she had already taken off her shirt.

We began making love, like we have several times in this exact spot. Never has it lasted as long as it did this time, or as many times. Before I knew the sun was peaking up over the hills.

She looked up at me with a small smile laid across her face, she began to say something but started yawning instead.

"Let's head to bed baby girl" I smiled as I climbed off of her, she gave me a peck on the lips

"I really do love you Tyler Reed" with that, she rolled over.

I was speechless, she's NEVER used my middle name. I was so lost in my thoughts before I knew it she was asleep.

"I love you too" I said as I laid down behind her, pulling her in close.

My eyes started to get heavy, before I knew it I was out.
