Because all of this started eating pizza and almonds; watching football with a couple of paper napkins.
Because we didn't want to study physics.
Because we were so mad at silly sappy stories and meaningless plots.
We tried,

Ella, Lena and Mel.

Nina had always disliked getting up early. That's why she so much loved her job, where she only had to go once in awhile. Though that day, was one of those few.

The cloudy morning saluted her as soon as she opened her eyes, groaning. Remembering she had to arrive to the editorial at 9 AM, she quickly got up from bed and directed to the shower not before turning on her turntable and letting the soft melody of one of her favorite songs fill her ears.

"The moment that you speak, I want to go and play hide and seek." She hummed along while taking off her clothes and letting the water run.

Once she was ready and fully dressed, Nina took all the papers she needed for that day's presentation and her laptop. Surprisingly and after a long time, Nina was actually proud of the work she did. She had everything set and ready for the meeting with no doubt that she would rock it. The book she had to make the cover for was incredible and right after she finished it she had 'the master idea'.

The master idea was what Nina called a job well done. As a passionate lover of art, and a woman who took her job very seriously, she thought every drawing or painting she made had to be perfect, or close to it. She usually was never one-hundred-percent happy with the covers she made, they had to be perfect for her to love them, but she also had a time to send them in, so it wasn't always possible for her to make them perfect.

That being said, she was proud to say this was not the case. She had the cover done a week early and awaited the meeting very excitedly. And that cloudy morning of Wednesday was finally there, time to show those lads how to design a book cover properly.

Once she was fully clothed she entered the kitchen, tying her light grey violet hair into a high ponytail, ready to make herself some tea. Not matter how late she could be, she always needed her tea in the mornings, especially if it was an early morning, really too early for coffee.

A little after half past eight she left her apartment and started walking through the busy streets of New York City.

Nina loved walking around the city and enjoying the views of the island of Manhattan, where she lived alone, after leaving her family house in Boston a couple of years before.

Halfway her walk till the office, the so usual melody of Dylan's favorite song dragged her attention to her phone making a soft smile appear on her face.

"Hey, bitch."

"You are such a lovely ray of sunshine this morning, Inna"

She giggled. Dylan had been her closest friend for years and as much as they jokingly fought everyday, she knew that they wouldn't be able to live a day without each other. "I have to be at the office at 9."

"I know silly, that's why I'm calling. Good luck! You'll be great! I know how happy you were with this cover."

"Thankssss, Lydan!"

"Also..."

"I knew you weren't only calling me to be nice."

"You are so funny." He said sarcastically. "You won't believe who I run into today."

"I won't if you don't tell me."

"You ain't gonna even try, bitch?"

"Nope."

"Alright, I'm gonna tell you anyway," he said nonchalantly in that deep, thick accent of his.

"Knew it. Go on."

"Hunter Rosete. From High School!"

"You know I wasn't the most social lad on school."

"You are so difficult. He was my friend. The one with long hair? He was part of the popular crew."

"Popular crew? You mean that group that believed they were badass while they were only stupid crying babies?"

"Basically, yes, those. They weren't that bad, Inna."

"You say so because you liked to be part of them."

"No, I didn't. I only hung with Hunter and a couple of his friends because we had several classes together. You had a couple of classes with them too in senior year."

"I don't even remember, Lydan, I was a junior then."

"It doesn't matter. You knew them. Your memory just sucks. Anyway, I'm sure you won't remember but Hunter had a band with a couple of the other guys."

"Oh yeah, they played at your prom party, right? That one you didn't invite me to, remember? The Lost Stars or something like that..."

"Hey I can't believe you are still offended because of that, it has been like 5 years. I had a girlfriend to take to prom you can't be jealous."

Nina laughed, she was never actually mad as she didn't even like dances but she liked to make Dylan feel guilty, thing he usually did. "Do you even remember her name now?"

He coughed, she had him trapped. "Focus! You still haven't let me tell you what I had to tell you." He complained. "They are The Osslartts, I'm going to give you this one, you were close. Believe it or not, they are quite famous now, and they are here since a few days ago recording their debut album."

"That's nice. Why are you telling me this, though? I know you want something. Spill it."

"Alright, Hunter told me they are having a private party in their hotel tonight and I would really like to go as I haven't seen the lads in a long time."

"Then go."

"You don't get it."

"Oh, no. I do get it. Not gonna happen, Lydan."

"Don't be mean! Come with me, please!"

"Why do you always do this? You are a big boy! Go by yourself! You are going to end up ditching me for some skinny whore anyway!"

"C'mon, Inna!"

"Never in a million years."

"I may have already told him you would go..."

"What?! Why would you even do that?"

"I didn't want to go alone!"

Nina sighed and realized that she was almost at her office's building. "Lydan, I'm almost at work."

"Please."

She groaned. She knew she couldn't say no to him, so she decided to bother him a little before accepting. "Alright, but I have a dare for you to do first."

"You are so predictable, honey. You know I'm better than you at anagrams. Go on tell, what do you have for me today?"

"Oh you did not say that." One thing they shared and that made their friendship what it was, was that they both loved endlessly making anagrams and liked to fight to see who was the best at them. "I'll go to the party with you if you make a single word anagram with this: Cease Reform."

"You have been thinking this one for a while, right?"

"Yep. Start thinking buddy! I'm already at the office. Talk to you later!"

"Love ya, babe. Good luck with the meeting."
