In a bustling classroom, Xie Lian sat at his desk, eyes glued to his notes as the lecture on ancient Chinese history unfolded before him. His mind was entirely absorbed in the lesson..as usual. But the moment beside him, with Hua Cheng sitting next to him.. was never quite so ordinary. While others might have been distracted by the lecture or their phones, Hua Cheng’s attention was entirely on one person..and that person was Xie Lian.
The classroom was quiet, save for the soft rustle of pages and the steady voice of the professor at the front. Xie Lian eyes scanning every word that the professor wrote on the whiteboard.
Hua Cheng sat with a carefree smile on his face, his usual playful attitude evident in the way he leaned back in his chair. He wasn’t paying much attention to the lecture.
Hua Cheng watched Xie Lian for a moment, his expression softening as he admired the quiet concentration on the other face. He couldn’t help but be fascinated by how focused Xie Lian was.. even in the most mundane of situations. It was one of the things that made him fall for him even more.
Without a word, Hua Cheng leaned closer as his gaze flicking between Xie Lian’s focused face and his lips. He had always enjoyed teasing Xie Lian.
As the professor continued lecturing, Hua Cheng silently and subtly leaned in.. inching closer to Xie Lian’s cheek. With a quick but tender movement, he pressed a soft kiss to Xie Lian’s cheek..just below his ear.
Xie Lian froze, his pen pausing mid sentence as his entire body went stiff. His cheeks immediately flushed, the warmth spreading through his face. He turned his head just enough to meet Hua Cheng’s mischievous smile. "San Lang…" he whispered, his voice barely above a breath.
Hua Cheng pulled back slightly, his smile turning into a teasing smirk. "Yes, Gege?.." he whispered.
Xie Lian’s face was now a bright shade of red. He tried to keep his cool but the sensation of Hua Cheng’s kiss lingered on his skin, making it difficult to concentrate.
"You… You can’t just do that.." Xie Lian said, trying to sound stern.
Hua Cheng leaned in closer again. His breath warm against Xie Lian’s ear. "I can do whatever I want.. especially when it comes to you" he murmured, his words full of affection.
Xie Lian’s heart raced even faster, his grip tightening on his pen as he tried to regain control of his composure. He turned his head slightly, his eyes locking with Hua Cheng’s. "This is a classroom, San Lang." he whispered, though the hint of a smile tugged at his lips despite himself.
Hua Cheng chuckled softly. His eyes glinting with amusement. "And? No one else is paying attention.. and we’re not exactly in a serious lecture, are we?" He leaned in even closer...his lips brushing against Xie Lian’s ear this time. "You're being too cute, Gege"
Xie Lian let out a soft sigh. "You really don’t care about anything, do you?" he said, his voice still gentle and filled with affection.
Hua Cheng’s face softened into something more genuine as he straightened up a bit..giving Xie Lian a gentle nudge with his shoulder. "I care about you, Gege. More than anything." he said, his voice quiet but earnest.
Xie Lian’s heart fluttered at the sincerity in Hua Cheng’s voice and for a moment, he forgot all about the lecture, all about the classroom and all about everything except the person sitting next to him. "We'll get caught..." Xie Lian murmured, his voice was warm.
Hua Cheng’s smirk returned, this time softer and more fond. "I know. I will take responsibility for you.." he replied with a wink, leaning in one last time.
This time.. instead of a quick kiss on the cheek, Hua Cheng placed his lips gently on Xie Lian’s. His hand reaching to brush a stray lock of hair behind Xie Lian’s ear. It was a soft kiss.. one that lingered which is filling Xie Lian’s chest with warmth.
Xie Lian’s mind was spinning..he couldn’t bring himself to pull away. For a moment, it was just the two of them in the quiet classroom, surrounded by the hum of distant chatter. It was a simple kiss yet it held so much meaning for Xie Lian.. so much love.
When Hua Cheng finally pulled back, he gave Xie Lian a mischievous look. "I think you’re getting used to it" he teased, though there was a tenderness in his voice.
Xie Lian could only nod, still too flustered to speak properly. "You… You’re unbelievable.." he said with no heat behind his word. Hua Cheng chuckled, his eyes softening as he looked at Xie Lian. "With you, nothing impossible.."
