Walks with Oreo

Luke's p.o.v.
I watch Madison and her puppy walk out of the house. I didn't know she had a dog. I walk into the kitchen end grab a glass out of the cupboard. I pour some chocolate milk into my cup and put it back into the fridge for whomever left it out. My mum walks in and sits down while staring at me.

"What's wrong mum?" I ask.

"You better be nice to Maddie," she says with anger in her voice.

"Why wouldn't I?" I ask her.

I'm actually confused at why she's telling this to me. Everybody thinks I'm a player but I'm not. I hang out with both gender but apparently having friends that are female makes me a player. It pisses me off all the time. I hope my mum understands that. I'm not gonna hurt Maddie.

"I'm just saying to be nice. Your intentions may be good but I don't want you saying the wrong thing. You know? I want her to feel welcome here," mum says wrapping our conversation.

She gets up and walks out of the kitchen. These next two weeks will be fun.

Maddie's p.o.v.
I walk around the blocks with Oreo until we get to the stream place I found a couple months ago. Surprisingly Luke lives close to me so it wasn't that far. When Oreo and I get to the forest area we follow the path we made and walked all the way to the stream. When we arrived at our "destination" Oreo ran over to the stream and started splashing around in it still on the leash so he doesn't float away. I laugh at him and set a blanket down in the grass.

Over in the distance I hear faster water, so I walk towards it. When we finally got to the source of the sound I was amazed. I've been to this place so many times and never found this. It's a waterfall that falls into the stream.

I look down at Oreo who's now rolling around in the grass and I laugh at him. He's such a cutie.

I check the time and it's 3:36. We'll leave around 4 so we won't be late for dinner. I know my mom would kill me I she found out I was late for something.

I go through my backpack I had on my back and grab out the water bottle that has Oreos name written on it and pour some water into his dish. I don't want him to get sick by drinking the stream water. I grab one of his treats.

"Oreo ai se," I say to him pointing at the ground.

When I got Oreo I was living in Paris, France for a while so my family will speak French to him every once in a while and he obeys to both English and French. It's pretty cool because I can tell him to attack in French an the person who'd be attacked wouldn't even know what I said unless they spoke French.

I throw the treat up directly above him and he jumps for it. As always he catches the treat and flakes out eating it.

Oh Oreo. What would I do without you. I lay down next to Oreo and stare up at the sky.
