The Sneaky Plan (Completed)

- Chapter 17 : Lost you lost him -

I don't know why but my heart just started beating very fast. I told him that it was not a funny joke.

"I'm serious." He said.

Nanuyo ang lalamunan ko. Nakakainis siya. Ba't ba siya ganyan.

"J-jerk." I manage to say.
Inirapan ko nalang siya dahil feel ko sasabog na yung puso ko.

I snap back to reality..

"Bakit ba kanina ka pa tahimik?" He said. "What kind of  trip is that Alice." He added.

"CR lang ako." I said . Lumakad ako ng mabilis papuntang comfort room.

Huminga ako ng malalim at tinignan ko ang sarili ko sa salamin. Gad, I hate him because he's always like that. He's pretending that he likes me but the truth is ang mahal niya si Bella. He's impossible. Kung mag jojoke siya sana wag ganon. Nakaka-asar siya. Can he please stop that. Naguguluhan na din kasi ako. Di ko na alam yung nararamdaman ko.

I called Theo through my phone. I needed him kahit na pinahamak niya ako kanina.  Kaya naman nung sinagot niya yung phone, kwinento ko agad yung sinabi ni Danger kanina.  After telling him, all I heard was a sigh.

("Alice darling, bakit ba hindi mo matanggap na inlove ka sakanya.")

I bit my lip. 

"E-h, kasi naman hindi 'to pwede Theo. Naiintindihan mo ba ako? Hindi kasi pwede 'tong nararamdaman ko."

I ended up the call. My heart is beating too fast feel ko mag eexplode na siya.

Hindi naman pwede 'tong nararamdaman ko diba? Mali 'to. Danger loves my sister. My sister loves Danger but here I am , f-alling too , the worst part is , at the same guy. Para akong gago. Nahihibang na ba ako?

Bigla namang nag ring yung phone ko. Tumatawag si dad.

("Alice.")

"Y-yes dad?" 

("Sunduin mo Bella sa LA bukas. We are worried she's not answering any calls, kelan ba siya uuwi. Kelangan ko rin  siya dahil may gagawin kaming urgent matter dito sa Pilipinas. Siguro kung pupuntahan mo siya don, she'll have no choice but to go home early.")

"..but dad I'm b-"

("No buts Alice Jane!")    he said and according to his voice and the way he calls my name, I mean complete name talaga, scares the crap out of me.

He ended the call.

Huminga ako ng malalim and lumabaas na ako.

"You done?" biglang nagulat ako sa bumungad sa pinto.

I just nodded. "Danger, uuwi na ako."

"Bakit?" He said at mukhang nalungkot siya.

"B-basta."

Morning came fast and ang aga ng flight ko. Kahit ayaw kong pumunta sa LA. I have no freaking choice but to obey dad. Finix niya na at inayos na din niya kasi yung ticket ko. Ugh I hate it.

The weather here in LA is nice with no humidity. Luckily, I know where to find Bella's house because I've been here for like a millionth time. Tuwing summer kasi dito ako nakatira. I was about to knock on the door pero biglang nagbukas ito at bumungad saakin si Bella.

"Alice?!" she said shockingly.

"Hi!" I said. "Mind if I come in?"

Pinapasok niya ako. She seems like natataranta siya at hindi mapakali. Ang weird ng kinikilos niya.

"J-juice or coffee?" she said while going in the kitchen.

"Juice please." I said while walking towards the living room.

It's been a while since huli kong tapak dito sa bahay niya. Last summer kasi di ako nakapunta dahil busy ako. I admit, maraming pinagbago yung bahay niya. Parang naging hindi girly.  I guess she really matured as  years passed by.

Napatigil ako sa isang corner. I saw a picture frame on the mini table infront of me. Kumunot ang noo ko at naguluhan. Bakit may kahalikan si Bella na ibang lalaki sa picture. What the hell is happening.

"Alice!" she said rushing towards me. She's like in panic.

Kinuha niya yung picture frame sa kamay ko at itinago iyon sa likod niya.

"B-bella." I said. "A-are you cheating on...are you cheating on Danger?"  hindi makapaniwalang sabi ko.

Nakita ko siyang yumuko. She bit her lower lip. "Alice, let me explain."

"Yes, you should. What the hell are you doing? Are you crazy?" I said in frustration. "Kelan pa 'to?"

"Last year." she said and I saw her bit her lower lip. I shook my head as a sign of disappointment.

"What the hell. Sira na ba ulo mo? How could you do this to him."

"H-hindi ka pa ba naiinlove kay Danger?" she said. Kumunot naman ang noo ko.

"What?" I said in confusion.

"Don't you get my plan all along?" she asked. Lalong kumunot ang noo ko. Ano bang pinagsasabi niya? Anong plan? "I thought this is the only way para di masaktan si Danger. I know you two will be perfect for each other. Danger is a nice guy. He deserves better and it's not me. Hindi ko alam kung pano ko sasabihin sakanya na hindi ko na siya mahal at may iba na akong mahal. I can't afford to see him in such pain until I came up with The Sneaky Plan."

"For pete's sake Bella!" I said and shook my head in frustration. "You're giving away your boyfriend just like that? Ano siya candy? Ibibigay mo nalang kung kelan mo maisipan? Gumawa ka ng butas tapos ako pantakip mo? You're just making the hole , bigger. You're unbelievable."

"I know but...sasabihin ko naman talaga sakanya e, pag uwi ko. "

I smiled in bitterness. "You know what Bella?  You're right. He doesn't really deserves someone like you."

"Sorry." she said. I started to walk towards the door. Nagulat ako nung hinawakan niya yung kamay ko.  "Don't leave."

"I'm going back to Manila. Don't worry, ako na gagawa ng excuse kay dad kung bakit di kita kasamang umuwi. Don't worry I will not tell Danger anything. He deserves your explanation." I said.

Binitawan niya yung kamay ko.

"Alice,  please understand me." she said.

"Of course. I understand you Bella, you're my sister..." I said giving her a quick bitter smile. "..but also understand that right at this very moment,  you just  lost that guy."
