Salomn was never one for writing.
That is, until he read the best book of her life.
Of course, after that, she tried to write something that would evoke the feelings that the book had originally made her feel. That was how she came up with the plot for Golden God's Death.
Of course, she was a stupid highschooler then without many worries other than what boys liked her and how her dresses looked.
Even after he transitioned, he was left unsatisfied. Unsatisfied, but somehow successful. A publishing house had reached out, requesting his work. He hated it, to be completely honest. The plot was bad. The characters barely remained consistent, and the protagonist fell into nearly ever bad cliche that there could be. This frustrated Solomon to no end.
Stupid. Stupid plot.
As the author, he could confidently say it sucked.
As a prideful ( and totally mature) highschooler, he'd defend it to his death.
Right. When you say your own writing is shit, that's it! It's shit. Sure.
Someone else, though? How dare they have the audacity! Raise hell.
That's not important. The point is, Solomon wasn't good at writing.
The cliche " poor orphan, finds out he has power and decides to overthrow corrupt government. Loses friends and uncovers plots hidden by the king and his 'innocent' younger brother. Fight a war (and win) against a tyrant queen. Befriend a stern but kind king."
You know. The works.
More in-depth? Okay.
Feng Huo was a young man born into a noble family that was steadily falling into ruin. While training, he was seen by the second prince, Pai Di'Cri, and enrolled into the best magic school there was. While there, he realized how annoyingly nice Pai is. After some time there, they befriend the sweet prince Niski and the stern prince Noluna. They make an enemy, Princess Aurella. Princess Aurella has a one sided crush on Pai, making her bully Feng and Niski out of jealousy. After a few years, the Rose kingdom is outed for playing with the kingdom's money and forcing people into labor. While tracking down the main culprit, the elder prince reveals that Pai Di'Cri was behind it all along. They lock him up, throwing away the key. Enraged by this, Aurella becomes a tyrant and wages war against the Moon and Sun kingdom. After losing, she is swiftly executed. Niski dies due to unknown reasons, leaving Pai and Noluna all alone in the world.
Yes, that was it. So incredibly corny.
Thinking back on it, Solomon couldn't help but scoff.
He pushed up his glasses, looking around. It would be embarrassing to admit that he stole the name of the protagonist from the most popular boy in his school. That would be a case. That is why, whenever the boy sauntered by, he'd stammer and hide the book.
Imagine his reaction when he found out that the crappy book was that boy's favorite!
He felt his soul and respect for the other leaving his body, leaving him slumped over the desk.
Solomon had an average life.
Wake up, make sure siblings were in order, go to school, repeat.
Wake up, make sure siblings were in order, go to school, repeat.
He knew something was off today. When sirens rang outside his home, alerting him of something being wrong.
He scooped up his sister, making sure her eyes were covered as he went to investigate from the window. There were three resolute knocks on his door, ringing through the silent room.
