I get out of my bed lazily upon hearing my father shout my name, for the third time.

"Yes, Dad! I'm awake now!" I shouted back.

My clock shows it's still 6:07 in the morning. I'm not a morning person but I need to wake up this early to get ready for my cousin's arrival. She's from the Philippines, and she's going to study here in Idaho. Well, you might think, I don't need to wake up this early because she will be arriving at 1:00 in the afternoon but our house is all messed up because of my sisters party last night and I need to do the cooking and cleaning because my Mom is out on a conference with my Brother Klifford, our Eldest.

After brushing my teeth, I once again looked at my reflection, not bad even with those eye bags.

As I walk down the stairs, I can smell the honey and the marmalade, and also the toasted bread. I made my way to the kitchen and saw my father drinking water.

"Where's Klara?" I asked. Klara is my sister who planned the party last night. It's not the kind of party you think most teenagers do. It's a welcome party for her boyfriend who came home after studying two years in Korea.

What's with people nowadays? Wanting to study abroad. Are they not happy with their family?

"In her room. She just arrived an hour ago. Do you know why she left the party, when she's the one who planned it?"

I rolled my eyes.

"You're rolling your eyes again Klaire. How many ---?"

I cut him off. "Yeah, sorry Dad. Of course, she left with her boyfriend, telling me: 'Oh sis, we'll just sneak out for a while. You know I miss Jared so much!'"

Dad shakes his head. "I know she's old enough now but she must still know their limitations."

"We can't blame her, Dad. She grew up with Grannie, and now that Grannie's gone, she's looking for someone to give her the affection she was used to and yeah, we can't deny the fact that she still hates you and Mom for not taking care of her when she was little until she finished high school."

He sighed deeply. I started putting some marmalade in my bread.

"Okay, you both take care of yourself. I'll be leaving now."

"Bye Dad. Take care!"

He nods as he made his way to the front door. I can see the hurt feeling in his eyes. And for a few seconds I think I regretted telling him how Klara hates them. Then, I shrugged it off. It's the truth.

Well, Klara's my twin sister. We're eighteen now. And yet there are still times when I couldn't believe I had a twin sister. Our parents gave her to our grandmother. According to them, Grannie wants to get us both because she really wanted to take care of us. But eventually, they agreed and made a contract, letting Grannie have my sister as her own child. Grannie lived far away that's why we only see them during Christmas. They made us (me and Klara) believed that Klara's my aunt because she is my mother's youngest sister.

But before Grannie died, she told us the truth. Which is just a year ago. We're not identical twins that's why we didn't think that we're actually twins.

After eating my breakfast, I started throwing the papers in the trash bag. These papers were used for their games last night. I didn't bother joining them, besides I don't really know them, they are all Klara and Jared's friends. The house didn't really smelled ridiculous because they did not drink wine or smoked. But they were too loud, lucky for me I still managed to sleep. Though, I still sprayed Aerosol in our lounge and at the kitchen to keep it fresh. I also cleaned the guest room and library room, and also trimmed the plants in our garden.

Now, everything's done. It's already ten in the morning. Still Aunt Klara, I mean my sister is fast asleep. I tried waking her up, to eat some food but she just scowls at me, so I let her be. I started preparing all the ingredients, and as I was cooking, I kept on looking at the recipe book. I'm still not a good cook. I baked macaroni, prepared fruit salad, and cooked rice and " chicken adobo". Mom told it was Dara's (my cousin) favorite dish. All I have to do now is take a bath.

After checking on the hospital, my Dad went straight at the airport to meet my cousins, well that's what I thought he did.

And just before 1:00 p.m., I heard the loud beeping of my Dad's car. It had also awaken Klara because she's running down the stairs now and trying to comb her hair using her fingers. I immediately opened the door ready to help them carry the bags but I was surprised seeing a stranger with my Dad and Dara.

Hi! Here's the first chapter! What do you think? I just want you to know that I will not be mad with negative comments, but then don't be too rude. Also, I know I am not that good in English, so bear with me. Thank you!
